this is the most narcotic album I've ever heard but I really fucking love it. it starts to wear thin after 2 hours but it's just mind-bogglingly beautiful and poses so many questions and means so much even though it's mostly beatless and very subtle. Ugh

there's a very specific mood you have to be in to enjoy this, but when you're in that mood it's absolutely fucking indescribable how incredible it feels.

forgot how much i love this. even if it is dreary as anything. it's weird though - musically i don't honestly think sonic youth have that much going for them but the way that they're able to just generate any atmosphere they want to make in their music is really addictive.
