What book(s) are you currently reading?

I've been reading a lot lately. Just finished "His Majesty's Dragon" by Naomi Novik; very good book. Trying to get my hands on the next four in the series, but they're elusive.

Also read a graphic novel based on a story by Terry Brooks that I could have died happily without reading. Right now, I'm working through "The Looking Glass Wars," which at first seemed terribly juvenile but got a lot better.

Others include "The Jesus I Never Knew" (which is, surprisingly, pretty awesome), a Pearls Before Swine comic strip collection (I broke at least one rib laughing while reading this), and a few others I've lost track of.

"An introduction to Japanese Society", by Yoshio Sugimoto
"Japan versus the West, Image and Reality" by Endymion Wilkinson

Both are great books, even for Japanese who thought they knew about their own country.
Also good for anyone who wants to know more about Japan.

I just finished reading the last book in the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind, Confessor. I highly recommend this series to anyone mature enough to read it. Some scenes are "R" rated.

The series is currently being made into a TV Movie, directed by Sam Rami... the director of all three Spider-Man's.

I just finished William Fielding's Lord of the Flies. ^_^ It truly is an excellent book! Pretty morbid, but what would you expect from a book like that? I just loved it to bits. Right now I'm finishing off a book called Mendeleyev's Dream: the Quest for the Elements... which is all about the history of alchemy, its progression into chemistry, its intermingling and roots in philosophy, and how Mendeleev derived the Periodic Table. >_>; Shut up; I know I'm a nerd. XD;;

None at the moment. One's I've read recently that I feel are worth sharing include:

Meditations on First Philosophy by Descartes
Why God Won't Go Away: Brain Science and the Biology of Belief by Andrew Newberg
The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism by Max Weber
Brave New World by Aldous Huxley

Are you there god? it's me, margret. and I'd tell you I love you, but then I'd have to kill you

both funny books

I read "Are you there god? It's me Margret." (On page 81, I almost died of laughter.)

Anyway, I'm reading "Water for Elephants." while I wait for "Breaking Dawn." to be released.

Took a break from reading Xenocide to read Pastwatch: The Redemption of Christopher Columbus, also by Orson Scott Card. I had no idea Columbus could be that...interesting. x.x It's a pretty good book, and I hope to buy it soon.

The Bible, Dragonlance Chronicles, and Count of Monte Cristo. Speaking of which, I should really get back into tbqh.

Im reading the dark elf trioligy AND GUESS WHAT? ITS FRIGGIN LONG!

75% of Pokemon gamers use cheats and specially made codes to make their pokemon battle-worthy. If you are one of the 25% percent that level their Pokemon up legally, put this in your signature

Nearly finished Sun Tzu's 'The Art of War'
Brilliant book

omg that is weird my mom, her 3 sisters, her mom and me all read that book! That book is funny! I finished both books and now I am reading the Twilight series:

Twilight
New Moon
Eclipse

It's about some girl and some vampire guy.....akward

The Catcher In The Rye - Great book, see why it changed society at the time...

Reading? What is a reading?

As you can tell I'm not too fond with books, although when forced to read something I actually can get quite addicted. Last GOOD book I read was 1984 by George Orwell. I hated Animal Farm (I couldn't take it seriously) but 1984 was really, really good, plus I understand some of the parodies I see on TV now.

Oh boy. I absolutely love reading<3

- Prayers for the Assassin by Robert Ferrigno [Read this already, it's a superb book]
- Hard Revolution by George Pelecanos
- Contact Zero by David Wolstencroft
- World War Z by Max Brooks
- Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix [I've read it about four times, so this is my fifth time XD]

DARN YOU!! I want to read that book sooo bad! But I can't get a hold of a copy in this little town I live in...

Ah... I just had to read Lord of the Flies for English class, for like the eighth time.... I read it twice before the rest of the class gave up and watched the movie O.o (It sucked by the way... had to watch it also). Also that book on the history of Alchemy sounds interesting! I love Science!

Just started the Stephen King's Dark Tower series, actually. Yay.

HaHa... Welcome to the Amazing World of The Dark Tower! It is AMAZING!

Anyway, here's my list which is rather long:

-The Dark Tower by STEPHEN KING, The Dark Tower Series #7

-Weaveworld by CLIVE BARKER (Some weird cr*p in there...)

-The Lions of Al-Rasson by GUY GAVRIEL KAY (Yay a Canadian like me!!)

-The Silver Lake by FIONA PATTON, The Warriors of Estavia #1

-Prince of Dogs by KATE ELLIOT, Crown of Stars #2

-Winterking by PAUL HAZEL, The Finnbranch Trilogy #3

-The Seventh Gate by MARGARET WEIS and TRACEY HICKMAN, The Death Gate Cycle #7 (Last One!! :D)

-The Silicon Mage by BARBARA HAMBLY, Sequel to The Silent Tower

-Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by SUSANNA CLARKE, (A very interesting work.)

-The Illearth War by STEPHEN R. DONALDSON, The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever #2

-The Steel of Raithskar by RANDALL GARRETT and ANN HEYDRON, The Gandalara Cycle #1

...I think that's it... there might be more.... and if you think just looking at that list is long, imagine me sitting at a computer desk surrounded by these books so I can list them!

And these books I am reading simply for pleasure... no after-school assignments....

the book i'm reading.
well, I usually read gameinformer magazines but that doesn't count as a book.
currently, the only book i'm reading(at the moment) is Evil eyes by Corey Mitchell, a story about a serial killer.

The last books i read were holes, and animal farm, both made into a movie.
other than that, i only read parts of the dictionary and books i was forced to read in school.
