4th Gen What did you name yourself, your rival,and your Pokémon?

Me: Beast (in my own game I'm badass)
Rival: Wuss (c'mon, you have seen him battle)
pokemon: no nicknames, (I prefer their given names)

my pokemon names are

names in japanese but english letters i got them from psypokes.com
 
I'm Storm cause it's my cat's name and I just like it. My rival is Zero because his Pokemon's hp will always be 0 by the time I'm done. I don't nickname my pokemon.
 
I named myself America, and all of my Pokemon after American generals and admirals. My current team's names are Pershing, Sherman, Patton, Grant, MacArthur, and Halsey.

My rival? Skynet.
 
I named myself Zuykara, and my Rival is Tox, normally I dont name my pokemon anymore.
 
My trainer's name is the same as my username, Ryden
my rivals names...uhh i actually don't remember anymore XD
As for my PKMN team
Typlosion = Zipo (Paying homage to my younger days on S/G/C)
Nidoking = Buster (Paying homage to my younger days on R/B/Y though the actual name should be HornBuster)
Espeon = Rem
Dragonite = Light
Leafeon = Hana (It made me feel unoriginal, but I went for it anyways)
Kingdra = ...well I actually haven't decided on a name yet >_>
 
I always try to give names and nicknames that won't bug me in the future, so it takes a while to think of anything. xD
Anyway..

Me: Diana, my real name o.O (oh so creative)
Rival: Silver (this name suits him pretty well anyway. because my other rival name - Johan - doesn't suit him at all xD)
Pkmn: Croconaw - Rain.
 
Combination of calling myself Gold/Hungry and my rival Silver/???. I have not named my Pokemon anything as I am too lazy for that I suppose. =p
 
I was Ari, my rival was like... Erik I think, my Pokemon was cloud :)

That was the team I beat the game with. It's not my main anymrore.

name: kotone (the japanese name of lyra)
rival: silver ('cus i like the pokemon special character)
nicknames: usually the first or last syllable of their mane/evolutionary line
ex: bulbasaur-saur
ampharos-amphy
noctowl-owl

I like to name my pokemon as if they were old people. :>

I named myself Inugami, after a Japanese spirit. My rival was named Silver, just because I like that name and it's his name in the manga. As for my pokemon:
Typhlosion: Kagurazaka (after Asuna from Negima)
Crobat: Sakura (I just found it ironic)
Heracross: Kuroi (I honestly don't remember why)
Misdreavus: Honesama (After another Japanese spirit... or a character from Hell Girl. It depends how you look at it)
Gyarados: Sagarako (After a cheerleader in Negima... don't ask me why)
Dragonair: Kairyu (That's the Japanese name for Dragonite... I think)

As you can see, I get a little anime and myth obsessed. XD
 
Either I name myself after an anime/manga character or I just give him my name. As for Pokemon nicknames, I usually go with Japanese translations of basic words depending on how I feel about that Pokemon
