What do you do with shiny Pokémon you find?

If I find it early enough in a playthrough (before I have my team planned out) then I use it on my team. This happened with shiny Pikipek on my Sun version and shiny Growlithe on my White 2.

If I find it to late, I either box it forever or when I start a new playthrough on a different game then I trade the shiny over and use it on that team. Did the latter with shiny Camerupt from White 2 when I restarted my White version and with shiny Goldeen from Y when I decided to replay Alpha Sapphire again.

in the past when i've found a shiny on my journey, i've basically swapped out a planned party member for it lol. i once gave up a challenge i was doing because i found a shiny and it didn't fit into the team metrics i had to abide by, but i really wanted to use it. i love u pants the shiny ekans............... fun thing, i found a shiny ekans in silver in the same place i found shiny ekans in soulsilver. p nice. and yes i put that ekans on the team too. lol

if i absolutely cannot fit them on the team for the current playthrough, i use them as part of a post game team or i trade them to another on-going journey and use them there. most of my shinies were actually hunted for though, or i got through trades, so this isn't a common occurrence or anything. but it sure does seem to happen with ekans a lot jfc.

I usually box them! Not sure why but maybe I prefer to train my shinies more optimally, like getting the recommended EVs for that species, even if it's a random shiny with bad IVs. Random ones are usually not the best stats-wise, so yeah. Next time I'll probably use one on my team if I find one while playing though. ❤️

I got very few shinies,
five I hatched, 3 Eevees, a Zangoose, and a Zorua

Zouru and an Eevee went to one game, Zorua has an Everstone, Vee I evolved it to Sylveon
(Pokemon Omega Ruby - now are in my completed Pokemon Sun game)

on a different game, i sent another shiny Eevee to an Eevee team and evolved it to Glaceon
(Pokemon Y - now both are in my Sun game) - getting Glaceon I also fainted my first shiny by accident, Beartic, I noticed the shiny coloring while it was fainting

last Eevee and Zangoose I sent to a different game, that Vee became a Umbreon (Pokemon Alpha Sapphire) - both are now in my Sun completed gamed

and five I caught in the wild
my first ever shiny, Mienfoo, in Black 2 - I sent her to White 2 to be part of my Mustelid Team
now she is a level 100 Mienshao in my Ultra Sun team

two I caught in Friend Safari
Mightyena, she became first member of my first Omega Ruby team, I used my favorites of Hoenn for that playthrough, now its in my completed Sun game

Luxio, i sent to my Alpha Sapphire cat team, now its in my Sun game

the other 2? to be honest they where Pokemon I don't really like so I sent both to Wonder Trade
shiny Larvesta (in friend safari, Y) and a shiny Wurmple (in Omega Ruby)

Unless I've already got a full team of Shinies in that game or it's one of my least-favorites, I definitely add it to my team (and usually train it regardless). I'd rather build a connection with my Shinies than treat them solely as trophies.

Aside from Vulpix in LGE, all of the shinies I've found and caught were either late in the game or post Elite Four, so they usually end up going into the box, even if I'd like to use them.

The one small exception to this was finding a shiny Ducklett in White. I traded it over to White 2 when I got it with plans to use it in my party, though it ended up rotating with a couple other members of my team since I was so indecisive.

In Black I got my first shiny pokemon, which was Tranquil. In Sun Igot a shiny Carbink. Both of them were unexpected ones. I simply boxed them both because they didn't fit in the team. Well at least theycould be useful for getting other shines in trade!

I'm going to be honest, I just box them and never use them. I'm always adamant about not using shinines tbh, I don't know why? Maybe cause I like them the way they are once I catch one.
