6th Gen What DON'T you want to see in ORAS

That elevated troll bridge we had the dumb task of navigating without banging into stuff.

Trading the Meteorite for TM Return was very redundant as well.

I sorta agree with SaniOKh. It'd be a stupid decision on Game Freak's part to leave out all the 4th Gen evolutions and pre-evolutions of the Hoenn Dex Pokemon. They managed to do that in HG/SS even though it was only the ones that evolved into them by learning certain moves (Lickilicky, Yanmega, Mamoswine, Tangrowth, Ambipom) I want them to improve on that this time around by including the ones evolving with stones, trade with held items etc.

That way they can still keep the original Hoenn Dex but with updated mechanics from after 3rd Gen. Please don't mess it up Game Freak!

I would dislike it if they stick with unoriginal gym leader teams. Winona's was actually my favourite the fact that Skarmory and Altaria, their typings were very diverse for a flying type gym leader. You could say that for any version, but this game in particular I would to be incredibly challenging.

Well, I sure hope, they don't bring back the fishing mechanics from RSE. Using the fishing rod, waiting, until something bites, pushing the button and then wait again, until something bites, losing concentration for a moment, the Pokemon flees.
That takes longer than it should be (especially if you want to find Feebas).

Somehow, I just want Pacifidlog Town to have more realism. In the originals they seem to just be floating without any form of support of any kind. Then buildings on top of it... Really? Now with advanced graphics, I hope to see more realism in the design of that town.

Also, yes. Even though we might not get to see Groudon and Kyogre battle it out in ORAS unlike Emerald, I sure hope that they'll separate the Magma and Aqua hideouts. Team Magma in the ocean just feels out of place.

Your post just made me think about how annoying the fishing mechanics were in the old games. It took so long just to fish up a Pokemon without making a mistake so I was happy they simplified it starting from 4th Gen (and just about every game since then) so I do hope they can keep the current fishing mechanics, it could really help especially with those wanting to find a Feebas.

I'm for sure pro-Steven as the champion of Hoenn. His team was a lot more challenging than Wallace, and I've always felt like they shouldn't make a champion with a mono-type team. Hopefully, Steven makes a comeback to the elite four.

I'd also like Wally to have more importance in the game, and not the amount of importance that he was given in the originals. This time around, he could be helping the player fight Team Magma/Aqua, finding the legendary pokemon, and challenge you to battles more frequently.

A whole lotta stuff:
1) The opening sequence. Way to promote negligent and unsafe parenting by having your kid ride in the back of a moving truck, where any hard braking, cornering, or large bumps could send your kid tumbling into a wall of the truck, a packed box, or any number of pieces of furniture, or have any one of these unsecured articles fall on top of them. Boom - your character's dead before even starting their journey, with a massive bloody mess in the back of the truck. If I was placed in R/S/E's scenario, I wouldn't even concern myself with training - I'd be contacting Child Protective Services and my attorney to sue the pants off Norman and whatever the mother in these games is named. If I even lived through the ordeal, that is...

2) Excessive water! In particular, the water routes between Pacifidlog and Slateport with the currents that you had to traverse multiple times just to collect everything and battle everyone. Way to artificially extend the gameplay in the absolute WORST way possible. The very definition of pointless tedium.

3) Match call system where trainers forced you to take their number without giving you the option to refuse. Seriously, at least the Johto games gave us the option to say "No" when asked if you wanted to exchange numbers with an NPC.

4) Gym Leaders with only 2-3 Pokemon, and Elite Four members with only four Pokemon.

5) Wallace as Champion. Steven was tougher to defeat AND with Steven at the helm, you didn't have two Water-type specialists in the late game (Juan 8th gym leader and Wallace as champion shortly thereafter).

6) World tournament. Emerald's Battle Frontier was much better.

7) Random cameo appearances from other games. It's almost never pulled off without seeming needlessly tacked on (see prior point)

8) One specific, highly overrated character from a previous game in particular. Those who know me know exactly who I'm talking about, and I'm not going to elaborate further on that point.

9) Two bike system. Why force us to return to the bike shop repeatedly throughout the game?

10) The idiot on the cycling road who says "Rydel" repeatedly and wastes precious time.

11) The clunky fishing system that was made needlessly complicated.

12) A rival who gives up after gym #6. Seriously you had one "rival" who battled for 2/3 of the game then gave up, then a kid you only met twice (and fought only once) takes up that vacated position. Perhaps I should add, "boring, passive rival" to this as well.

13) The "Bait, Rock, Ball" Safari Zone system. I never liked that in ANY game.

14) Getting rid of customizations. If I have to stick with May's default look I will officially be crossing these games off my "to buy" list. Right now they're on the "maybe" list because of many of the other things I've mentioned.

15) I'd like to say "Hoenn" because that was my least favorite region, but I realize that's gonna be impossible lol

16) "Pika Pika!" Seriously, hearing that annoyed the hell out of me in X/Y.

17) Dive. I know it's critical to R/S/E's storyline but (a) dealing with yet another Water HM on top of Surf AND Waterfall is just annoying, and (b) it doesn't make logical sense how your character can go underwater, with no scuba gear, and not suffocate to death.

Something I really don't want to in OR and AS is Mega Evos of Groudon and Kyogre. I was never a big fan of Mega Evos to begin with, although; I have grown to like them a lot more I don't think Legendaries should have Mega Evos. I always thought being a Legendary meant there was no way you could get more powerful than you already were, to me that was the very definition of a Legendary Pokemon. So I don't want to see Mega Evos of some of my favorite Legendaries, but if they do have them, oh well, I can deal with it.

Hoenn is my favorite region by far, and I don't really have many complaints with it as it stands (aside from little things like the two bikes). However, because I like Hoenn so much, what I don't want is for there to be no post-game, or just a tiny post-game. I want to feel like I'm exploring a lot more than I could before.

I do not want to see any new characters replace the gym leaders. HAIL to the no. The gym leaders in R/S were epic, they need to stay right where they are.

I also don't want the music to be techno-fied, for the love of God. The brass was what made Hoenn.

Hm, I'm curious. Is Juan included in that or is he an exception

I know there will probably be a lot of disagreement on this,but...I don't want mega evolutions to return. They weren't in the originals and I'd really prefer they weren't in the remakes. I wouldn't be angry if they were included, but I'd just prefer they weren't included in OR/AS.

Really, the only thing I can think of is the unnecessary addition of newer Pokemon into the main Pokedex. I'm sorry, but I really didn't like the gigantic regional Pokedex in X and Y. I felt like it made it too easy to make a team of your favorites. One of the things I loved about the older games was that the smaller Pokedex made you have to try using Pokemon you might otherwise not use, but in X and Y you could easily just choose your favorites and make a team solely out of them.

I loved 3rd Gen but there are a few things that were a little annoying and several things in new games that should not return.

My number one thing is difficulty level. I will be very annoyed if I can breeze through all the gym leaders and elite four. My Y experience was bad because of the pushover "elite" trainers. There's also the experience share, the fact that you have to catch the legendary and the any order elite four system. I want a challenge! I want to feel frustrated like I was with Norman's Slakings and Tate and Liza's Lunatone and Solrock.

The mach bike was sooooo annoying. Please don't make me have to use it again.

I would like HM Dive to vanish for eternity but I have a feeling that it won't. If so, please just make it a TM at the VERY least.

Weak rivals. I never understood why you don't fight May more often, same thing goes for Wally.

Azure Bay's stupid camera angle during surfing... Especially on the incredible water routes...

...please, don't put that in. For goodness sake, please.

I don't want to see picture for the trainers and gym leaders, I want full 3D models for them.

It would be great if they could slightly decrease the encounter rate, or at least give us an option to do it ourselves. :b In RSE, I would run into wild Pokémon in almost every step I took, which was extremely annoying. I know I could've used repels and whatnot, but they cost money, which I usually lacked.
