What if Kanto had been written to include 3 seasons?

    I know that it's kinda hard to speculate, seeing as how it has already passed, but what if Kanto, when the Pokémon Anime had first aired, had been expanded to three seasons? Forgive me if there is already a thread on this...
     
    And what would be the third season about?

    Probably Ash and friends taking down the entire Team Rocket, so that these 3 idiots stop appearing in each and every single episode.
     
    Possibly.

    Or we may have been able to see more of Team Rocket's nefarious deeds from the game. Maybe trying to take over Silph Company to acquire new technology ( Master Ball maybe), or Ash actually getting to battle Giovanni...
     
    meh I liked the adventures in orange islands aswell as the johto journeys aswell as indigo league but they summed it up... ash beat the elite four he had no where in kanto left to go he wants to become powerful (though evil people generally do this suprisingly ash does it in an innocent way) not catch them all he wants to be able to one day be the best... but having him run around kanto and fighting team rocket would get pretty boring real quick

    As opposed to him fighting Fighting Team Rocket ( Jessie, James, and Meowth) for the next 11 seasons?

    Anyway, If Kanto had been expanded to 3 seasons initially, We might have had more time devoted to the organization's more nefarious deeds from the game, such as taking over Silph Company to steal an important piece of technology pertaining towards pokemon ( Master Ball or something else)...
     
    Honestly, it would be the same. Ash would fight Team Rocket, and there wouldn't be much more enchanting plot except that maybe Ash would fight different Gym Leaders to keep the story going. (Remember how in the anime, there are more badges, meaning there are more Gym Leaders) so I believe Ash would go to anime exclusive towns and fight anime exclusive Gym Leaders and compete in the Pokemon League once again.
     
    It would get so monotonous, the same Team Rocket stuff over and over I'd die if that happened. So glad that wasn't the case. :)
     
    It kinda was. In the First episode, Ash saw Ho-oh. Where is Ho-oh? In the SECOND Generation. This means that they actually had a Second set of pokemon already ready to go. Another point is that throughout Kanto, Orange Islands, and Johto Ash a Misty's relation ship skyrocketed O.o Idc what kind of 'ship' you support, this is a fact. Hell, in The Movie 2000, she was even teased as his Girl Friend -_-

    BUT once the show got REALLY popular, they decided to scrap progression, stay with their Target Audience (Kids) and just 'Reboot' the series every Season with new pokemon. They even had to get rid of Misty because Ash and her relationship was becoming 'too much'... That's the only reason they switch the girl every Season, they need to keep it a Kids show.
     
    If it three seasons, I imagine that it would have been the same thing, but stretched out with more fillers in between gym battles.
