What if they were real? rated 16+ (just in case any adult themes come up)

John strood into the hospital and signed himself in as a visitor. Earl followed suit. He then went up to the second floor where Yasumi, and most likely Israel, were. He stood at the door and watched Israel crying over her. He was tired of this display.
"You know, instead of crying about it, why don't you do something about it. Crying doesn't solve anything!" John said harshly. Maybe too harshly given the situation, but he didn't care. He had just risked his life for this guy, and here he was breaking down like a little brat! Earl finally caught up with him. He didn't seem to have heard what John said.

"What am I supposed to do about it afterbirth!!!? The doctor said that this is about as curable as cancer!!!!"yelled Israel. "And I think that you'd be a little less of a douchebag considering that I saved your sorry behind from that Hydreigen!!!!" Israel was mad and didn't stop there, "And you know what, I'm tired of this whole "Hardened jerk" thing. You're not like that because your father hit you or even because the doctor punched you in the face for being so freaken ugly, it's because that's who you are, a stone cold douche." Israel stopped and took a deep breath, "okay what do we do about it?" Israel expected one of two answers, #1 John would strike him then and there in the Hospital room, and Israel would fight back, or #2 He'd actually have an answer which was unlikely, Israel waited to see what would happen next.

Kitten meerly huffed as she held the pink skitty close to her self while holding onto Doom's horns for balance. She looked back to check if Silver was okay as they decended through the floors at a rapid pace nearing the exit much faster then the top.

Doom slowed down as the Absol appeared by his side panting slightly as they stopped infront of the large doors out of the tower. The dark type dogs (Well they are alot like dogs anyway) shared a smirk as they looked up at their passengers grining.

Slipping off Doom's back Kitten held Furball close muttering soothing ounds incase the skitty had been frightened by the sudden ride down the tower.

"Doom.." She started with a warning tone as she watched him set Cookie on the ground, who in turn wobbled around abit like a drunk. "What did I tell you about pulling stunts like that..!" She huffed quietly to him giving him a slight glare.

Now that they were out, Silver got off of Absol not feeling good. "I think I'm gonna be sick..." This was true, as he held his stomach from the ride. "I don't know how you can handle that Kitten. It's rough!"

Sky managed to reach everyone, stopping to catch his breath. Thank goodness he maded! Otherwise, he would've been lost in the tower.

What everyone didn't notice was Electro was already outside. Seems he was pretty fast, thanks to his wings of being a squirrel. He felt proud that he beat Doom & Absol, even sticking his tongue out at them.

Kitten placed her hand onto Silvers shoulder with a sympathetic look, she remembered the first time she ever rode Doom and even she had pretty much the same result.. Only she couldn't hold her breakfast down.

"You get used to it after afew times Silver.." She smiled softly while casting a glare at Absol and Doom. "Now come on.. We better get Nurse Joy to have a look at your leg before we move on. Don't want the future champion to collapse haflway up the hill!" She lightly nudged him as she returned her pokemon

Let's see. Go over the mountains with a broken leg, or go to the Pokemon Center to fix his leg but stall time to go over the mountains to the gym. It was still the afternoon. What the heck, Pokemon Center it is. "To the Pokemon Center!"

Silver returned Sky & Electro to their Pokeballs, but kept Furball out who was still held by Kitten. "You can hold Furball if you like." He suggested to Kitten.

Furball was cuddling in Kitten's arms, feeling comfortable. She took a nap afterwards in her arms.

John almost lost his temper. He raised his hand to strike Israel, but he caught Shadow looking up at him and lowered his arm. He walked over to the bed and looked at the clipboard. Something about Psychic Cells in her brain or something.
"Israel, if you ever speak to me like that again, I will rip out your tongue! And let's not forget who saved who from that base! And as for your girl, does it look like I'm a psychic!? No! But you have a psychic type. After all, you were sending me telepathic messages all day! I knew I would have to think of everything! You're just as useless now as you were then!" John said angrily, barely controlling his temper. Shadow looked pleased by this.

Earl still was in a state of disbelief. Here he was, involving himself in something that was much, MUCH bigger than him. Still though... He couldn't believe he had found his old friend... And here this Israel had failed to protect her. Earl loved Yasumi, and if John wasn't gonna hit him, Earl almost felt obliged to, but he decided not to as Leonidas came out of his Pokeball. The Totodile was still wearing his hat, and he was worried about his partner and friend.

"John, let the wounded dog lie. Maybe his Alakazam will help her. Maybe it can't. I, however, believe we should head out. I have a feeling we are being watched."

If only Earl knew he was right. He, John, and Israel were being watched on. On a televison screen connected to the camera in the room, the man Earl had fought in Jackson, MS was watching them. The Man in Black, as he was watching, decided it was time to set his own plans in action. His plans of breaking off from HA.

"Yeah, let's go. I'm not going to habg around here if he's going to sit there and feel sorry for himself. He's just being weak if he gives up without trying. I've got my third badge to win. Come on Earl. Shadow," John said. He put the clipboard on the chair. He turned on his heels and walked out of the room as the reporters come out of the elevator.
"God, you vultures! I'll give you your story! I'm on my way to the gym now! Get lost!" John said as he pushed through them, not really caring how rude he was. Shadow followed him, growling whenever a camera got too close to her.

"Excuse me sir, but who are you?" asked a male reporter to Earl as he simply walked past them, following John. Earl, rather pissed off from the events that just unfolded, decided to give them his name.

"The name's Earl Stevens. Now, leave us alone scumbags," said Earl rather frustrated as he continued to head forward as he stretched out his arms, pushing some of the reporters to the side, allowing him and John to get in the elevator. When the elevator closed, Leonidas simply shook his head. The events were catching up to him as well. How could anyone treat a human like that?

"I can't believe I found Yasumi, after all these years. I just wish it was on better circumstances" said Earl, not realizing he was thinking aloud.

"I may have found a use for you after all Earl. Keeping thos Damn vultures away from me! And you know Yasumi. I know you do. How do you know that woman?" John said. At 5 foot 11 he was no slouch, especially because he wasn't finished growing yet, but he was no match for the towering beheamoth that was standing next to him. Shadow turned into Shadia and threw her arms around John, but gazed at Earl.
"Don't worry buddy! She'll be alright! I know she will!" Shadia/Shadow said firmly. She turned back into Shadow and was sitting on John's shoulder.
"I think Shadow is right. Anyone that can take me out with one hand is more than capable of fighting this off," John said suddenly, surprising himself. Why did he care about her? Her death wouldn't affect him at all. True, it would make Earl and Israel unhappy, but who cared about them? He had to watch his own skin. They were useless, in Earl's case, and downright combatative, in the case of Israel. So why was he worried about their happiness?

"Well... Yasumi and I were penpals when we were younger, and I always thought that we were close. How close? I don't know. When that dumbass Israel mentioned her name back at that base, I thought I was hearing things. When he said Yasumi's name again, however, I just knew he was talking about her. I knew she needed my help. You see, I have always..."

Earl cut himself off there. True, he and John were becoming good friends, but he wasn't sure about telling John about his deepest feeling. Earl has only loved one girl in his life... And she was now on a hospital bed.

"Anyways, as for those idiot repoters up there, I've never cared for paparazzi. Consider it as a favor for you and me both."

As much as Israel hated to admit it John had a pretty good idea, far'fetched but good none the less, Israel pulled out Alakazam's Pokeball and pressed the switch. A light flashed and Alakazam came out. "Alakazam, Yasumi here has been injected with Psychic brain cells, the cells are trying to merge with her brain cells and her body is rejecting them, I need you to do everything in your power to stop the cells from merging" explained Israel. "Alakazam" said Alakazam, it put down one of the spoons that it was holding and placed it's hand on Yasumi's head. Yasumi started shaking like she had a seizure, and a blue halo started around both Alakazam and Yasumi. A doctor walked by and saw it and said, "What are you doing to that patient?" and tried to enter the door, but Israel sent out Blaziken to block the entrance, "GET SECURITY DOWN HERE NOW!!!!" yelled the doctor. Security tried and tried but the Blaziken would not let them pass. The Psychic procedure lasted for 32 minutes until Alakazam pulled away obviously hurt. Yasumi lied dead still, Israel walked up to her knelt down and felt her pulse and there was none. "Yasumi, come on don't die on me." he said weakly, then a telekinetic force pulled him out of the way and Alakazam grabbed her head and a powerful surge of psychic energy knocked equipment down around the room. The Alakazam let go, and Yasumi opened her eyes.

John stepped off the elevator and some security goons rushed on and took it up to where they had come from. John turned to Earl.
"I guess Israel decided to stop being a waste of space and do something. I'm outta here!" John said. He walked along and out of the hospital. He didn't really care if Earl followed him. If Earl wanted to stay behind that was fine with John. After all, he seemed to have fallen in love with Yasumi. That was something John could not scoff at. Love was a powerful feeling. But he would scoff at open displays for no reason. Anyways, it wasn't his problem. He had to find the gym.

Earl quickly ran towards John as the security guards rushed the elevator. Leonidas simply hanged on for dear life, not use to Earl running like this. Earl simply smiled at what John had said about Israel. At least that cracker tried to do right...

"So the gym's next, huh?" asked Earl as he caught up with John. "What type of gym is it? This is Dallas. Ground type maybe? Steel?"

Blaziken let the guards in, they grabbed Israel and tried to take him until the doctor shouted "WAIT!" The guards let go of Israel and he walked over to Yasumi, she was awake. "Is-rael?" she said weakly. "Yeah, it's me how are you feeling?" said Israel concerned. "I'm a-little groggy" she said, "but I'm fine." Israel embraced her hard. A couple of hours later after some tests the doctor pulled Israel back into a room and talked to him. "Is she going to be alright doctor?" asked Israel, a nervous wreck. "I'm afraid it's not that simple" said the Doctor. Israel was completely shocked, "but Alakazam!!!!!" said Israel, the doctor stopped him, "temporarily stopped the merger, I'm afraid she's still going to die" said the Doctor. "How much time does she have?" asked Israel in a state of distress. "Six months" said the doctor, "we cant do anything for her but send her on her way, she'll stay here until sundown and then we're going to release her." At that moment Israel stopped feeling sorry for himself, he stopped moping, and stopped with the crap, "Well doc if you can't cure her I'll just have to do it." The doctor was shocked, "and how do you plan to do that?" asked the doctor. "I'll find a way" said Israel, "I'll find a way."

(OOC: Oh my gosh, did John do something right with his attitude?!)

"Yeah. The gym is next. The ground gym. And I'm going to beat it. You just wait and see. My pokemon have never been stronger!" John said as he walked down the street. He turned to where the gym was and entered. More camera's turned on him. Shadow growled a little. John gave her a sharp look.
"Don't be rude. They just want a glimpse of my greatness. As long as they don't pester me with stupid questions I don't mind them here," John said.

"I do, but I signed a contract," a man said. He walked out of a back room and looked John over.
"John Brooks, I presume. I have never heard such arrogance before in my life," the man said. John glared at him.
"You obviously haven't met the guy will likely be here in a little while. He's even worse than I am. And I mean in attitude and in battle. You said you don't like the cameras? Just who are you?" John said. The man sighed and shook his head. He was a few years older than John, and he was predictably wearing all brown. Though the clothes looked like they were dirty, not that they were brown originally. John looked up at his silky black hair that ran down to his ears.
"I am Marty, the gym leader. And I feel the cameras detract from the experience of the battle, but I suppose there is no way around it. We shall battle whever you are ready. This will be a two on two double battle," Marty said. He walked over to his place and waited for John to come as well.

"Boy, he doesn't have any idea, does he?" asked Earl to John. Earl had seen some arrogance from John, and that was in a league of its own.

"So Honky, who are you going to use?" asked Earl, figuring he could make himself even more useful by acting like a bodyguard for John. Some reporters even asked Earl if he was challenging the Gym Leader, but Earl only shook his head.

"I'm afraid my Pokemon and I are not ready for this place yet, but I do know that John is," was all Earl said as Leonidas shook his fist at some people trying to get close to John and Earl for questions. Despite it not working very well, Earl gave Leonidas an A for effort.

"Just wait until he's a Feraligatr, then they'll be moving back," thought Earl as he patted Leonidas' hat. Leonidas then dusted off Earl's and smiled at him. Despite the smile though, Leonidas was getting bored. He hadn't battled in a while, and he was afraid his fellow teammates might feel the same way.

Israel walked into Yasumi's waiting room, and she was brooding. "So you've heard the news" said Israel. "Yes" she said, "and I don't have any regrets about betraying the Human Alliance." "I know you don't" said Israel, "And you know what?" Israel continued. "You don't even have to worry about living another year because I'm going to find a cure" Israel said confidently. "And just how are you going to do that?" asked Yasumi a little annoyed. "Yasumi, there are Pokemon out there that can control time and space, do you honestly believe that there's not one that can cure you?" asked Israel rhetorically. "Yes but that would have to be a legendary Pokemon" said Yasumi. "Yep, and I'm going to capture one" said Israel. "Israel, do you have any idea how hard it is to capture a legendary Pokemon?" said Yasumi. "I don't care" said Israel, "I'm going to do it and I'm going to cure you and no earthly force is going to stop me! But I need you to do something Yasumi, I need you to pray for yourself as I have prayed for you because I have a feeling that God will listen." "You won't have to worry about that" said Yasumi. Then Israel's attention was on the TV a gym battle was about to start.

John raised his eyebrows at Earl.
"Don't call me Honky! And who the crap do you think I'm going to use? Aquanis! Leaf! Let's rock!" John said as he walked into the battlefield. Aquanis and Leaf took their places. Marty sent out a Sandslash and a Quagsire. John smiled. This was going to be easy.
"You're going down! Aquanis, Razor Shell! Leaf, Magical Leaf!" John said.
"Quagsire, use Protect! Sandslash, use Dig!" Marty siad calmly. Aquanis was faster than Snadslash and sliced it's back as it dove underground. The Magical Leaves just bounced harmlessly off the barrier that Quagsire made. John looked around warily. Well, he was not one for being patient, so time to push the attack. Quagsire shouldn't be able to use Protect again. Time to hit it hard!

"Leaf Storm! Aquanis, Water Pulse!" John said. Leaf spun his leaf around and blasted a poserful leafy cyclone at the Quagsire, hitting it four times harder than usual. Then Aquanis followed up with a rather large ball of water, which hit the Quagsire. It stumbled around and used Mud Bomb, which blew up on Aquanis. Sandslash then burst out of the ground under Leaf. The Chikorita was thrown into the air.

"Aquanis, Razor Shell on Sandslash. Leaf, Use Synthesis!" John said. Quagsire put up another Protect, though he wasn't targetted by any attacks. Aquanis flew at Sandslash, who had just hit Leaf with a Poison Jab. The two pokemon fell to the ground and faced off against each other. Leaf landed nearby, and began glowing brightly, restoring his health.

(OOC: Next up, the conclusion.)
