Riley (OOC: You know that his Glaceon is going to more than make up for the defiencies of his other pokemon. You aren't going to sweep a gym leader, even if he's the weakest one there is. >:O)
(OOC: That was a mistake. I'll edit this now.)
Lapras cried out in pain as the Shock Waves hit her repeatedly. She pushed through it, however, and rose to the surface. With a mighty cry, she unleashed Surf, sweeping the entire field with water. When that was done, she had fainted. Riley returned her and grinned.
"Bravo! But, you're in for it now! Glaceon! Show him why you're my strongest! Use Sheer Cold!" Riley shouted out as he sent out the Glaceon. He stood proudly on the ice, and focused his energy around the Electrike, freezing the very air it was breathing. Riley hoped this hit. He was out of options. This was not going good for him. Not one bit.
Jake
Jake drove around to the base of the mountain. He put his car in park and turned it off. He sighed and tried to relax. Seeing Sweety get thrown off the cliff had shaken him down to his core. Thankfully, Silver and Kitten had been there to catch her, but what if they hadn't? What if something had happened to her?
"Pix!"
Jake looked at the seat next to him. Vulpix was staring at him. The little fox looked into his eyes, and Jake felt something in his mind. Soon, he was overcome by a rush of nothingness. Everything went blank for him. But... There was one tiny little spark of life. It felt strange and alien to him. He reached out and touched it, feeling it jump joyously into his arms.
"Pix!" Jake heard in his mind. The little fox had crawled into his lap and was laying down. What the heck? That little tiny spark of life amid the blank emptiness... This was Vulpix's mind! Vulpix had brought Jake inside his head! No wonder he always had such a blank stare. And with that realisation, Jake felt a rush of relief and joy. Vulpix welcomed his presence. Jake accepted it back, and then was overcome with a rush of pain and loneliness. Vulpix's loneliness.
"I won't ever leave. I promise. I'll be here for you forever," Jake promised. He reached down and patted Vulpix comfortingly on his head. The two of them were going to stay like this until Silver and Kitten came outside. Sweety would know which car to bring them to. Right now, Vulpix needed him.
