  • Riley (OOC: You know that his Glaceon is going to more than make up for the defiencies of his other pokemon. You aren't going to sweep a gym leader, even if he's the weakest one there is. >:O)

(OOC: That was a mistake. I'll edit this now.)

Lapras cried out in pain as the Shock Waves hit her repeatedly. She pushed through it, however, and rose to the surface. With a mighty cry, she unleashed Surf, sweeping the entire field with water. When that was done, she had fainted. Riley returned her and grinned.

"Bravo! But, you're in for it now! Glaceon! Show him why you're my strongest! Use Sheer Cold!" Riley shouted out as he sent out the Glaceon. He stood proudly on the ice, and focused his energy around the Electrike, freezing the very air it was breathing. Riley hoped this hit. He was out of options. This was not going good for him. Not one bit.

    Jake

Jake drove around to the base of the mountain. He put his car in park and turned it off. He sighed and tried to relax. Seeing Sweety get thrown off the cliff had shaken him down to his core. Thankfully, Silver and Kitten had been there to catch her, but what if they hadn't? What if something had happened to her?

    "Pix!"

Jake looked at the seat next to him. Vulpix was staring at him. The little fox looked into his eyes, and Jake felt something in his mind. Soon, he was overcome by a rush of nothingness. Everything went blank for him. But... There was one tiny little spark of life. It felt strange and alien to him. He reached out and touched it, feeling it jump joyously into his arms.

"Pix!" Jake heard in his mind. The little fox had crawled into his lap and was laying down. What the heck? That little tiny spark of life amid the blank emptiness... This was Vulpix's mind! Vulpix had brought Jake inside his head! No wonder he always had such a blank stare. And with that realisation, Jake felt a rush of relief and joy. Vulpix welcomed his presence. Jake accepted it back, and then was overcome with a rush of pain and loneliness. Vulpix's loneliness.

"I won't ever leave. I promise. I'll be here for you forever," Jake promised. He reached down and patted Vulpix comfortingly on his head. The two of them were going to stay like this until Silver and Kitten came outside. Sweety would know which car to bring them to. Right now, Vulpix needed him.

  • (you can knock out Dane when I switch, but don't sheer cold thats lame.)

"Didn't want to have to show this yet, but Shocks counter with Fire burst!" Seph shouted.

a large blast of fire erupted from Shocks launching himself out of the water and diverting Glaceon's attack. As Shocks was falling back down Seph returned him and sent out of his third pokemon. Dane, the gligar, burst from his pokeball circling high above the battlefield.

"Lets see you beat what you can't hit!." Seph taunted.

  • (OOC: Sheer Cold only has a 30 for it's accuracy. XD It's not likely to hit anything Anyways, that's Riley's pattern. Once Glaceon comes out, the first thing it does is Sheer Cold, then it never uses that move again during the fight. XD)

    Riley

Riley was quite impressed. Of all the challengers he had faced so far, Seph may have been the weakest level wise, but he had a handy grasp on strategy and timing. After all, he had knocked out two of Riley's pokemon, and he hadn't even lost one yet! Though, his pokemon weren't exactly in pristine condition right now.

"Don't get cocky. That'll just trip you up. Sheer Cold is one of my Glaceon's signature moves. Now, see another one. Blizzard!" Riley said, ending his command with a shout. The Glaceon shook his fur and looked up at the Gligar, following it with his eyes. Then he obeyed the command, and let loose an amazingly powerful ice storm attack that covered the entire field. This was a good battle. He was having fun.

  • "...hmm good pick, but there is one issue with it. Dane's a ground type too. confused? Dane can explain with this. DIG!" Seph ordered.

Dane dive bombed into the water and kept going down down down drilling through the bottom of the pool. The water level dropped to half way then it stopped draining into Dane's tunnel. by now he had begun to tunnel back up creating a U bend to allow for an air pocket. There was on flaw in this plan. lack of training. This was one of Seph's most recent tricks. Dane hadn't gotten much practice with it and it would either backfire by filling the upward tunnel too fast or Dane missing as he'd blindly charge up through the rushing water, but if Seph hadn't tried it Dane would be weathering the blizzard above ground and that would be a disator.

(fight for this one. I'm making Dane as wimpy as I can without just making him EPIC FAIL.)

  • Riley grinned. He gave Seph a sad look.

"Sheer Cold on the water. Then use as many Work Ups as you can before he can dig his way through the ice," Riley said. That was awfully stupid of Seph to have his Gligar go diving underground like that. Glaceon froze all of the water and then began focusing his power and making himself stronger. Gligar was trapped down there, and would really have to work hard to dig his way out.

"What other plans are you going to try now?" Riley asked kindly. Glaceon simply looked at Seph as he used Work Up again.

    John

"But Johnny! I want to go to the gym now!" Shadow protested. John looked at her and shook his head.

"Not until Cinder has some more power. We need him for this gym," John said as he shook his head. This was a grass type gym. So, Nida, and Tempest were perfect for this. And Cinder, but he was still really weak. He dropped Cinder's pokeball and revealed the Charmander, who yawned in the sunlight.

"Char!" he said boredly. He looked around and saw Seven, who had agreed to have a one on one battle with him. Eight leapt to the ground and walked onto the battlefield. Shadow shook her head and turned herself into Shadia. She clung to John's neck and grinned.

"Ready John? Eight! Use Tackle!" Seven called out. Eight charged right at Cinder, who simply let loose a Flamethrower. Even at a low level, his attacks were very powerful. Eight was blasted into the ground. Cinder shook his claw and glared. Eight got back to his feet and growled. It was on.

  • Kitten smiled as she walked slightly in front of Silver, another new pokemon? Man was Silver one lucky trainer, haha soon he'll have super strong pokemon to win the Pokemon League with in no time~

A soft rush of cold air sent a chill down her spine as Kitten looked ahead to where the exit was. She put her hand on Doom's head ruffling his fur as she trundled along watching for any more problematic pokemon that could pop out of anywhere. A small growling caught the girls attention as she stopped mid stride, what was that? Furrowing her brow Kitten looked towards Silver before walking to another path heading away from the exit. What ever was making that gurgling growl had captured Kitten's full interest as she wasted no time in trying to find out what the noise maker was.

As she passed a small out crop of rocks the dark haired girl noticed a small bundle of blue and cream fur struggling to get free from a rock that looked like it had fallen, trapping the pokemon by its paw.

"Oh deary me.." Kitten let out a breath before moving next to the struggling pokemon pushing the rock trying to let the pokemons paw free. "C'mon, try squeeze out" She puffed as she heaved the rock trying to move it even in the slightest.

The Quilava chattered as the rock shifted the weight on his front paw. Looking up he saw a young trainer pushing at the rock to get it off. "Quiil!" It cheeped pulling backwards as Kitten moved the rock a tiny bit more, causing the Quilava to be flung back and away from the rock.

"Oh I'm so sorry!" Kitten knelt by the fire type checking it over for injuries.

The pokemon blinked open its eyes and looked at the warm glowing gem stone in its paw before looking at the girl.

"Lava! Quiiil Lava!" It chanted springing to its paws and nuzzling against Kitten.

Kitten ran her hand over the quilava's back before getting to her feet, speaking softly to the fire type. "I need to go, try not to get yourself trapped again okay?" And with that she turned and ran back the way she came, bumping into Silver as she ran out of the pathway with out looking where she was going.

"LAVA!!" The pokemon chattered before crashing into both trainers.

  • Kitten ran off to somewhere who knows what? Silver at least took the time to check through his backpack. Better safe than sorry. Back in Baltimore Silver had enough time to restock his items. After all, they do have a big journey ahead of them.

Silver took out a bottle of water. Still fresh & full, also he was a little thirsty. He took off the cap & took a few gulps, then put he cap back on & put the bottle away. Refreshing.

The next item taken out was the TownMap. They did need to keep track of where they were going. Chimney Rock, North Carolina was only a few miles away from where they are. Between the mountain & town was a small area where trainers come & battle each other for experience. Jake might've stopped there.

As Silver put away his map, Kitten came back. Then... "LAVA!!" A Quilava came & crashed into both of the trainers. Silver was on the ground looking dumbstruck.

    "Haha...I see you...made a new...friend..." Silver said that part...pretty dizzy.

  • the Quilava was sniffing about the two trainers, a large grin on its muzzle as it hopped around nudging Kitten to her feet. "Lav, quilava!" It clapped its paws before jumping into her side bag disappearing from view.

"Seems so.. Silver, you alright?" She tilted her head and got to her feet staggering slightly with the new added weight. She helped her friend up brushing off Silver's clothes.

The quilava poked his head out of the shoulder bag tilting his head at the two, scratching behind his ear.

"Lavlava.." He grinned towards Silver showing his little teeth before disappearing back into Kitten's bag.

Kitten looked confused for a moment before speaking up. "We should hurry.. Don't want to keep Jake waiting for Sweety.." She took the quilava out of her bag setting it on the ground.

  • "Yeah...I'm alright." Silver got up with the help of Kitten. She brushed away any filth that was on Silver just in case. Well that was nice.

The Quilava that bumped into them earlier went inside Kitten's bag. He popped his head out & looked at Silver with a tilted head. Silver was looking back as well. Quilava smiled at him & went back inside Kitten's bag. 'Strange Pokemon...'

"We should hurry.. Don't want to keep Jake waiting for Sweety.." Kitten spoke up as she took the time to take out Quilava & put him on the ground. Silver looked back at Aura & Sweety. Apparently Aura was carrying Sweety on his back. ...No comment.

"Let's go!" Silver ran off to meet up with Jake. The others would have to run to catch up to him. Aura was already running off as well, leaving Kitten & Quilava behind in the dust.

(OoC: I hope it's okay that Sweety is on Aura's back, at least until they reach Jake.)

  • Kitten grinned and sprinted after her friend and his Pokemon towards the exit, quilava racing after them all bits of fire spurting from his neck. The black haired girl laughed as she tried to catch up with Silver.

"Silver wait up!" She started to pant as she went, not really used to running such far distances.

  • "Dane. if you can hear me FIRE FANG!" Seph shouted desprate to make sure his pokemon had a chance.

the water level was already around half so the ice that Glaceon formed wasnt so thick compared to what it could have been, but either way Dane was in massive trouble. A loud clanking sound could be heard from under the arena. Seph spotted the familier purple gligar throught he glass like ice sheet.

"FIRE FANG!" Seph screamed knowign it was Dane's only way.

Dane either heard him or had though of it himself. a bright orange flame appeared in Dane's mouth. He drilled through the ice jumping back unto cold icy land.

    "Gli glii." Dane grumbled.

"I'll admit that took guts to do, but your Glaceon seems to have some Stoicism issues. Teach it to lighten up, or better yet Dane you show him how with fire fang." Seph said returnign to his jocular state.

"Well, that seemed to work pretty well," Riley muttered to himself. He had finally found a good use for Sheer Cold. It was about time. Glaceon simply turn to where the Glirgar had popped out of the ground and stared up at him. After two Work Ups, Glaceon was feeling pretty confident right now. He blew a bit of ice into the hole so that the Gligar could not escape by digging again. Riley smirked.

"Yeah, Glaceon is a very serious pokemon. But you should know better than to attack like that! Head on attacks don't suit you Seph. Glaceon! Teach him a lesson with a focused Blizzard attack!" Riley called out as the Gligar charged in. Glaceon opened his mouth and emitted a powerful ice and snow attack toward the Gligar. Riley had thought of this use for Blizzard himself. Sure, it lowered the damage, but it was way more accurate. And after those two Work Ups, the damage would still be very high. It was perfect!

    Jake

Jake was returned to his own body after a while. Vulpix had fallen asleep on his lap.

"Poor thing," Jake whispered. He had just been reliving Vulpix's memories. Jake didn't think he had done it on purpose. But he had. Vulpix had been born in a lab. Team Plasma's lab, for the soul purpose of being used for scientific research. They had given him all kinds of medicines and things. Poking him with needles and the like. And after a while, they had begun to use other types of treatments. The memories weren't very clear at this point. But Jake remembered that there wa sa lot of pain and sadness. Then Vulpix had woken up, and not been a fire type anymore. That had been very distressing for him. They gave him more painful drugs that increased his powers, and used something that locked his mind away. But it was starting to fade. All pokemon that had been given the treatment would eventually get their minds back. But what would happen to them then? Jake didn't want to find out. He ideally wondered how those pokemon would react when they suddenly came to and remembered what they had been made to do. Vulpix was lucky that Pearl had swiped his pokeball instead of someone else's.

  • Israel paced back and forth waiting for the battle to end. "Are you all right?" asked Mary. "I'm fine," said Israel irritated. "It's just that this whole match is a sham," he continued.

"Why do you say that? Seph's been doing fine so far," said Mary. "One word, three syllables, Ur-sa-rang" said Israel. "You can't judge a trainer by one defeat," said Mary, "he's been doing good."

As she said this the Glaceon froze the water above Gligar. Israel smirked, "you were saying?" Mary smiled and pointed. The Gligar had used Fire Fang to dig up through the ice.

"Keep watching," said Israel. The Gligar was stopped in it's tracks and shot at by a Blizzard. "See, he doesn't stand a chance. This is freaken boring," said Israel. Mary put her hand on Israel's shoulder. "So the question is, how are we going to pass the time?" she said.

  • "...Well...I have one thing to say about that... lunch time." Seph laughed after is random comment.

Gligar widened his already gaping mouth and more fire began to fly out. He went head on into the blizzard mostly protected by the flames. Fighting hard to keep going Dane pushed his way cutting through the ice storm jetstream the flame in his mouth barely keeping him from icing over.

Riley grinned as the Gligar tried to power his way through the Super Effective attack anyways. He decided that now was as good a time as any to finish this. By his math, Work Up boosted two stats. So, two Work Ups equally four boosts. That made Glaceon's Stored Power Four times stronger. Then, add in the boosts themselves, and that made for one incredibly potent attack.

"Glaceon, enough fooling around. You've toyed with him long enough. Stored Power!" Riley said. Glaceon focused his tremendous energy and blasted it at the Gligar, who was in all likelyhood, too close to dodge properly. Yes indeed, Riley loved this combo. And with his new use for Sheer Cold, he had a winning moveset.

  • "DANE!" Seph shouted knowing he was to late to try anything.

Dane took a direct hit and was blown back across the gym. Seph sent out Ayon, not onto the field, but to intercept Dane before he crashed into the wall. Ayon wipped up a razor wind and caught Dane in a long tunnel of air. Ayon gently set him down on the gym floor. Dane lied there his body quaking in pain. Seph knew that Dane never could take much of a beating, thats why he tried to teach him alot of evasive and blocking techniques. Returning Dane to his pokeball Seph went back to his place behind the field. Ayon jumped down into the half filled frozen arena glaring angrily at the glaceon.

"Fine. I'm not getting a clean sweep. Dane did plenty to help here. Ayon let make it count." Seph said holding tightly to Ayon's silver pokeball.

"You may have beaten Lapras and Piloswine, but Glaceon is a whole different ballgame. He's by far my strongest pokemon. Glaceon! Show him some more power! Blizzard!" Riley said. Blizzard was the only attack that would do anything to that Absol, unless by some miracle Sheer Cold hit. But that was very unlikely to happen. Still, Blizzard was a very powerful move, and Ayon would be hard pressed to stay up with that going on. Glaceon blinked and then blasted a Blizzard all over the field, freezing everything it touched. This wouldn't take long. And after Ayon was Shocks, who was still asleep thanks to Lapras's Sing. This would be over before he knew it.

  • (no shocks isnt asleep. he canceled out sing by making to much racket with howl. also since I can't post that I attacked usign this before you've attacked since that would be bunnying[not to be confused with godmodding] I did it now.)

"Ayon, me first." Seph said instantly.

The absol bounded off his white fur making him invisible in the blizzard. He was like a ghost barely showing himself through the blowing snow. Instantly he materialized behind Glaceon and blasted an even stronger blizzard at him. even with a reduced effectivness the power was even stronger then Glaceon massively buffed up attack.

"Riley every tactic and move set has its drawbacks. yours is counters." Seph commented still not able to see through the thick snow storm.

"Don't be too sure of that. Glaceon, you know what to do!" Riley said. Glaceon smirked and flicked his tail. As the opposing Blizzard appoached him, he spun around and began using Sheer Cold, stopping the Blizzard by freezing it into one large ice pillar. Glaceon slid backwards on the ice. He had taken quite a bit of damage from that attack, but he was still standing. Riley was curious as to how Ayon was doing. After all, unless he had teleported, he had taken some massive damage from that Blizzard as well. Riley pulled out an Ether and used it on Glaceon, giving him some more strength to use Blizzard.

"Well, I must say, you've been a good opponent," Riley complimented.

    Sweety

Sweety's tail twitched as she rode on Aura's back. She climbed up to his head and sniffed the air. She could smell the scent of exhaust fumes and rubber. Meaning cars. Hopefully Jake had his car down there already! Maybe... She looked back and saw Silver and Kitten running to keep up. This was turning out to be fun. She smiled happily and clung to the fur on Aura's head so she wouldn't fall.

  • "why thank you. Random thing here, not like everything I say seems random but, ever think of some thermal imaging or something in here so trainers can actually see. watching a blizzard cause a white out is up there with watching paint dry." Seph said stil completely unsure of what was goign on other then the new random pilar of ice.

Ayon howled (not the attack) to try and give out his location to his trainer. It was risky since that let everyone know where he was, but nessicary and besides Ayon had a few more trciks left especially with the white out still going on.

"Ayon, you ok?" Seph yelled to him.

    "Yab ab soool." Ayon replied.

"good. faint attack. lets start this back up with the basics." Seph decided.

Ayon faded completly out of view even the vague shadow that could be seen through the blizzard vanished.
