What Instant Messangers and/or IM Clients do you use?

Out of that list, only MSN.

My other means of chatting are IRC and Shoddy.

I have MSN because all my friends, both IRL and online use it. I have AIM as well, although I'm not too fond of it, and I'm never on because I have no contacts, or the ones I do also have MSN. XD; My laptop also has Skype, however this computer doesn't because I don't have a microphone. I only use Skype for the voice chats anyway, so I didn't see the point in downloading it on this computer.

And Mooshykris, when you say Facebook, do you mean Facebook chat?

In everything I've seen, it calls MySpace MySpaceIm, but Facebook just Facebook :P

Bleh, why is MSN loved so much?

I ONLY got MSN because of POA, so people without AIM could contact me, and I got all the others because Pidgin could do it.

What makes MSN so much greater then everything else?

And PLEASSEE don't tell me Video, Voice, and all that, what makes it a better TEXT Messenger.


Wow...sorry about that, I'm just frustrated on how well MSN is considered, and how AIM is looked on usually negativly, so I'm just curious.

MSN is only greater due to it's many addons, like plus! for example is one of the best addons you can get for it, even without it, MSN is only popular because it's the only thing that people like these days.

I have both MSN and Skype (thus my votes), but these days it's just MSN. We used to have a few chats on Skype, but sadly them days are over. MSN will do, but I'd still like to go back to talking to my friends every now and then on Skype.

Different IM solutions are popular in different regions of the world. I have to use WLM/MSN for example, or I wouldn't be able to talk with any of my local friends. I use Pidgin too, avoiding the horrible official client.

depends where I'm at and what computer I'm using, If I have my Mac I'm using Adium, no question.
If I'm stuck on windows for a short time I'll pick up Live Msgr 9 and use that. and If I end up using Linux I'll grab Pidgin (also If I'm stuck on windows for more than 3 weeks I'll grab either Pidgin or Trillian)

Actually you can choose Pidgin if you use Adium, because technically Adium is built upon the Pidgin framework and is considered the Mac port/Version of Pidgin. (I believe this statement is held by the developers of both Adium and Pidgin.)

Adium is Pidgin ported to Mac...kinda like saying you're disturbed by the lack or Firefox Mac on a web-browser poll...

Google Talk(1 sock account)
MSN(1 sock account)

I haven't bothered downloading any others, don't feel the need to really.
