What legendary group would you like to see get more attention?

Not to mention the Gen 8 DLC that created 2 more Regies to add to the already existing 3. :p

Well I would say the Legendary beasts from Gen 2, but because those less than stellar looking 'primal' versions now exist thanks to Gen 9, I don't want to risk making them worse... >.>
So I'll go with Ho-oh and Luigi Lugia. It's always seemed odd to me that Gen 2 didn't have the more common 3 Legendaries from other games, (not including Gen 1) so giving them and 'actual' '''Crystal''' (I'm sure someone's thinking 'Suicune!', but no, that's one of the beasts, it can't also be a 'major Legendary' imo) Pokemon would complete the group.

I would've said the Swords of Justice (primarily because they're based on the Three Musketeers, French fiction heroes (with Kalos being based on France, it would make a ton of sense), but they already got enough attention with their paradox counterparts, so the only logical guess would be either a member of the Lati twins or another Mew clone (I have these guesses mainly due to their abilities to Mega Evolve. You never know. Might happen)

If it needs to be a trio getting a fourth... I'd say a 4th birb, but the Kanto birbs already got regional forms...
So I think I'd go with a third Lati... Latius I guess? =P

Though I also wouldn't mind more regis. More regis is never bad =P
But they added 2 in gen 8 which is pretty recent still.

I'd like it to be the Lake Guardians. The original three had wasted potential since they were all mono-Psychic type with no dual type, and I'd love to see variants of them with different types, whether it's regional forms or Mega Evolutions.

That being said, if it's just a new legend with no new form, I'm going to say that it should be something related to Heatran. It always felt weird that it wasn't in a group with any other Legendaries.

Lugia and Ho-Oh getting either another legendary Pokémon buddy or alternate, possibly Mega Evolved formes would be major! Seeing another Mew Pokémon, like finally a real Mewthree would be exciting too! And Maybe a Mega Evolved forme of Mew, since Mewtwo already got two.

I would love for Lugia and Ho-oh to get new forms, but I think it could be the Tapus. They weren't in Scarlet and Violet, and they're from the gen right after Kalos which would follow the same pattern as the genies did. Although I can't really come up with any kind of lore that would link the Tapus to Kalos…

Perhaps a convergent form of the Tapus that resemble the ones from Alola but are technically different species of Pokemon?

It's probably not going to be the Tapus- the three legendary Bird Pokémon got new regional formes in the Sword/Shield expansion, but they're not strictly Kanto residents like the Tapus are with Alola. It would seem odd to see them in another region, and you'd wonder what they were doing there.

Of course, we might just get a whole new set of legendaries- that would be something new, which I would like if they did.

That would be a neat angle. They could be connected to French culture somehow. If the Unovan legendaries didn't already seem to reference the 3 Musketeers, I would think that would be a cool thing to base new forms on

New legendaries would be cool! Tbh the main legendary/mythical I really want to see is Volcanion, so I can finally finish my home dex 😭

I hope the life trio (Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde) get more attention, they were a bit underdeveloped in X/Y; and although Zygarde got a bit more love in the anime and S/M, I hope they're able to be fleshed out more in Z-A.

tbf there wasn't a precedent for that until Gen 3; but I agree that the box legends in GSC feel kinda odd compared to later games, there are only 2 of them as you mentioned. And despite being on the front cover, they don't really do much in the story apart from just chilling in their base waiting to be caught. I really liked Ho-Oh's portrayal in the Lost Silver remake by Reidd Maxwell from a few years back, where it isn't actively malicious but is extremely territorial and doesn't like people climbing Bell Tower; while not really tonally consistent with the games. It's the head canon I've used for it and Lugia since I saw it.

Gen 2 legendary new trio should be a ground/ghost or grass or dark type turtle comes to mind. With a new ability to absorb some types super effective against it. (not all to not make it overpowered, but still offer a challenge to catch it.) Ho-Oh represents sky, sun, and resurrection in most depictions of it in game and the anime. Lugia represents the protector of the ocean, moon, and the weather. The 3rd one to come to mind, would be a representation of the earth, an eclipse or the stars but with a twist. I know there are already too many turtles, reptiles, and amphibians, but this is what comes to mind. We're probably not getting a 3rd Johto trio, since it focuses on Kalos, but one can only dream that this is what "a" stands for. Also I shouldn't dream of this being a reality because this also means the "end" of the Pokemon franchise as we know it, but then again there was eternatus and terapagos and the series is still rolling out some ideas. (Another underused species should be the next legendary and take the spotlight. This would be a fresh change of pace.)
