I nicknamed my Glaceon Glay-kun and my porygon2 pory2. Oh and my jolteon Voltaria since she's a female :D
 
I only decapitalize names (ex: MACHAMP -> Machamp) of Pokemon that I use for Battle Tower or whatever, although I once did rename my Salamence "Oshit he" so that every time it did a move the text would show "oshit he used Dragon Claw!" or something like that. Only once, though.

Hehe, I name a lot of them. In Gold and Sapphire, I forced myself to nickname every capture pokemon. Nowadays, I only nickname my team, shinies, legendaries, other favorites, and such. I have random inspirations but most of the time, my nicknames match. I'll only list the interesting ones here, as a lot are human names. YES, I have more than this. XD

I give all my Pokemon nicknames,even the ones I get just to trade.
I find it un-fair that they should be called by their species name. How would you like if everyone called you "Human"?
..Though,according to the Mystery Dungeon species,they call themselves by their species name.

I shall now write all the nicknames for my current Pokemon :)

I get this odd feeling to name them name,they just pop up in my head,and I name them that.
Sometimes,I name them a name because of their nature/personality or because of the way they act before they battle(Like Clarrisa,she used 3 Defense Curls and 1 Endure).

....I have so many Pokemon I need to train.
 
I name my Bidoof and Zigzagoon HM Slave XD
Anyway, I (now) nickname all my Pokemon for no reason XD

I'll never know why people nickname Pokemon that,it's such a cruel name.
I wouldn't call her a HM slave,but my starter Piplup(who's now an Empoleon)has 3 HM's :(

Blissey: Jessie (guess why^^)
Empoleon: Kuu (because of another anime-chara)
Chimecho: Lisyan (the name of its pre-evolution...but I like that name)
Rapidash: Saphir (the german word for sapphire...I know it doesn't fit fire since it's blue...but still I like it)
Psyduck: Enton (the german word for Psyduck...since my game is in english, I guess this counts as a nickname)
Luxray: Flash (kind boring...still nice in my opinion)
Palkia: Giovanni (dunno why)
Golbat: Moody (this guy from Harry Potter, Alastor Moody)
Raichu: Pika-kun (...)
Clefairy: Cutie
Cleffa: cuddle
Leafeon: Kojirou

I always nickname my pokemon. Every single one. ^^ Though, sometimes I can't think of anything, and make an excuse to name them something that seems irrelevant. xD

I like nicknames. It makes me feel like I'm special and that my team has its own personality. x3

Generally I take 3 or 4 consecutive letters in their name and use that.
Examples:
Shroomish = Mish
Torchic = Chi

But I called my Electrike 'Eninac' in Ruby which is Canine backwards.
