What Pokemon would you want in real life?

If you could take any Pokemon from the games and have them right now, in your current every day life, what would you choose?

My girlfriend and I recently did a video on this over on our YouTube channel. Here's what we chose :)

It's a hard tie between Charizard and Umbreon/Jolteon.
Charizard because he's my favorite Pokemon and the idea of owning a fire breathing dragon just blows my mind (don't take into account his official pokedex height because it makes no sense). So it has to be him for #1 now that I think it over. On another note... he can fly and I could beat rush hour traffic.
For a #2 slot I'd pick Umbreon/Jolteon because it's small and cute but could still pack a punch. It's like having a cat/dog thing with powers.

I'd take an Absol.

There's the fact that it has good offensive stats and it's fast, it can use Knock Off which would be absol-utely hilarious in real life.

Also, he can predict natural disasters. So while everyone's dying in an earthquake, me and my Absol will be in a car a long way away from there.

Sandshrew was always my favourite as a kid, and I still think it'd make an adorable pet. No practical reasoning here. Just a cute thing digging up my garden.

I've always said that even though it isn't my favorite Pokemon, I'd want an Eevee in real life if I could pick just one Pokemon. I wouldn't be limited in what it could evolve into, and I could basically have 9 choices (8 plus Eevee) of the Pokemon I was raising, rather than just the linear line of evolution that most Pokemon have.

That, and carrying around an Eevee in my arms would surely attract the ladies. Right?

I wouldn't want a Pokémon in real life, to be honest. Think about it, if Pokémon were real, then there would be things like people who are freaked out at the sight of an unknown creature, destruction of places depending on the Pokémon and probably even the government would be involved in this. It'll definitely be overwhelming for me. xP

Seriousness aside, I think having a Throh/Sawk around the house would be nice. They're probably the most human-like Pokémon in my eyes compared to the testosterone-packed Machoke. Continuing on with the whole human thing, they also seem human-like in their behaviour. The only thing that makes them Pokémon like is that they can learn moves and all, but it could also come in handy as it could carry some of the heavier things in my house.

So yeah, I want a real Throh/Sawk. But mostly Sawk, really. I wouldn't really treat it like a pet, however, because of what I said.

But I'm going into the good side here. And trust me, you already know what I want in real life.

I'd want something that wasn't too dangerous, could use fly, and wouldn't bee too much of a pain to keep fed and tended to. That being the case, it's kind of hard for me to choose between tropius, flygon, or pidgeot. I like the latter two more than pidgeot, but pidgeot would be more practical, because tropius and flygon couldn't go outside during winter, especially in New England.

Screw it, I'd choose charizard, despite the horrible danger it would put me in on a daily basis.

An electric Pokemon so I don't have an electric bill, a fire Pokemon like Charmander to cook my foods, and something like a Mightyena as a pet.

I feel Togekiss would be pretty cool, to be honest!

It's rather cute, and I believe it could Fly as well; by having this Pokémon with me, I would be able to go almost anywhere, so long as it's willing to carry myself every once in a while, haha. Aside from that, it's also quite useful competitively, and if same methods were to apply in real life, I could imagine Togekiss to make things quite easy when it comes to battling and whatnot. Thanks to its Serene Grace ability, it would be able to take decent advantage of Air Slash, and with that combination, it could take down a handful of opposing Pokémon on its own.

Aside from Togekiss, Ninetales would be nice, too. It's got a beautiful appearance, and generally, it's very warm; when it's wintertime, instead of turning on the heater, I could snuggle with the Pokémon to warm myself up. Plus, this Pokémon has ability to summon sunlight at will, which I find to be kind of intriguing! If not Ninetales, Vulpix would be sweet, too; it's simply adorable.

Probably something that can fly me from point A to point B without needing to drive. n_n (I'd probably still drive every once in a while, but not nearly as often as I do now. xD) Something with Teleport would work just as well.

A Ditto could work too since it can become something that flies and/or something that knows Teleport, or just anything I wanted it to be. :0

If not legendary then not sure.
Dragonair is my favorite together with Gyarados but they're big and I dont want to be stalked by people trying to see or steal my Dragon Pokemon.
Umbreon is my companion but I'll go with Haunter on this one.
He can make himself or both of us invisible whenever needed. Also we could make best pranks ever.
I mean, since he's a ghost, we would have no limits. From flying to idk, anything. ^^

I would love to say Hydreigon or Salamence because of their flight abilities and they are some of my favourites Pokemon but Hydreigon consumes everything in sight and Mence shoots fire when they are excited. Though, I'd love to have a Skarmory in real life since it sheds swords and it can fly up to 300 KM, making transportation so much more easier (if I have the proper gear). Also, it's another favourite of mine.

Scrafty is another Pokemon I'd love to have in real life, the only thing I should worry about is its acid. Still, would be rad to have my favourite Pokemon around. <3

Now with that stated, I'd like to address a question towards the whole ditto discussion. Isn't it stated that a Ditto is unable to transform into anything that it hasn't met in person before, due to a memory related problem with the Pokemon? Plus even if it was able to copy the form of a drawing, since the Pokemon isn't physically there, wouldn't it lack the ability to copy any form of a move?

Personally I would love to own an Espeon, or a Mawile in real life!

+ Cute, and beautiful.
+ Has Psychic powers, can be very useful for lazy situations.
+ Is able to predict the weather.
+ Has the ability to protect when their owner is in danger, and will use it's psychic abilities to save me from harm; So a personal body guard. XD
+ They're loyal, and are physically closer to animals from the real world then most others, so it could do a better job at blending in... sorta...
