What used to scare you as a kid?

Stairs.

When I was like pre-school age I had to be carried up and down the stairs to our apartment by parents because stairs were monsters with spiky teeth that wanted to eat our legs. Some imaginary pain whenever I was on a step included.

those pig people from dr who used to scare the actual shit out of me that whenever i saw my dad watching dr who and i would see them i would be too scared to be alone or in the dark

everything tbh thats what my anxiety meds are for :)))

Me tho. I'm pretty afraid of a lot of things, even with anxiety meds and I'm even taking an anti-psychotic right now lol.

I also forgot to mention that Escalators also used to terrify me. I did overcome that as well when I finally rode one and realized it wasn't so bad. Now, I can ride them all the time with no problem.

The dark. For most of my childhood I had to sleep with light on because I couldn't sleep without it. I would always see shapes or 'feel' as if there was something in the dark. I also had nightmares more often as a kid than I do now. Back then I had an extreme fear of it, and I'm still a bit scared of it now. But at least now my brain doesn't play tricks on me, so I only get scared if I actually hear something that's not supposed to be there, like outside my window or something. Man, I'm surprised I can go outside with people with paranoia as bad as this XD

the vocaloid song 'secrets of wysteria' creeped the fucc out of me for a good while. also, i normally go for a run in the morning when it's dark, but the recent clown epidemic scared me into staying inside for a couple weeks. i've always been scared of drowning too, since i can't swim much at all.

I still a kid and i am still lowkey scared of being alone in a room with a turned off tv, idk why it's just the thought that it could potentially show anything with any noise terrified me, terrified me more when i am smol, but i am still kinda scared of it XD

My brother used to play a lot of Sonic games and the old SEGAAAAAA startup sound scared me as a kid. I was also pretty scared of N from the Black and White games when I was younger, but I've since let that fear go. aside from the creepy music that plays in his room
