What was the first aspect of Pokémon you got into?

Started with the anime, since that came out first in America. The games came out later, so I was already excited for the franchise. I stopped watching the anime well before I took a break from the games. It originally wasn't on my radar, but now with the marathon club, I'm getting back into the anime. Though I always meant to get back into the games no matter what.
 
Little mikey caught an episode of the anime on tv (the squirtle squad episode). Shortly after that I got Red and been a fan of Pokemon ever since! Though nowadays I don't watch the anime, but I still do play the games.
 
Fan run internet games and fandom culture LOL. And, the anime, then later the games and manga. But Pokémon websites were first.
 
My mom bought Pokémon Pearl for me and Diamond for my brother for Christmas.

A couple months later she bought us PMD: BRT Don't know if it hooked my brother but it hooked me.
