Anime/Manga What will you be watching in January?

What in particular stands out? I think my only "I'm absolutely going to watch this" is Little Witch Academia so far, but there's a few that seem like they're worth giving a shot.

ACCA, Demi-chan, Hand Shakers, Kuzu no Honkai, Masamune-kun no Revenge, Seiren, Youjo Senki, One Room and (grudgingly) ReWrite's second season will all probably get watched at some point. I wouldn't say much of it looks fantastic or anything but they seem solid enough to give a chance. Except ReWrite which I will drop harder than you can imagine if it doesn't fix the wrongs of season one.

The movie Gyakusatsu Kikan looks really good though. So I'll have to find time for that.

Can't blame you there. Shorts are comfy and easy to watch. Well, mostly.

I've been trying to find out more about Seiren, but I can't find anything on it anywhere. A lot of those others don't personally tick a lot of my "must watch!" checkboxes, though that may change when the season starts and people start seeing those shows.
 
Might check out the Granblue Fantasy animation just to see what the hoopla is all about. That game is absolutely huge in Japan.

That's why I plan to watch it really. I'm really curious about all the mystery and the art is really well done. I get what you mean, I'm not likely to rush into most of these with unbridled excitement but like I said, they look solid enough to warrant a shot and I have a lot of time xD
 
Watching:

  • KonoSuba 2 - Yee.
  • Zostrich X second half - Obligatory.
  • Gintama. - Also, obligatory.
  • Little Witch Academia - Moar.
Maybe:

  • Rewrite 2nd Season - First season was an awful adaptation. But, it's Moon and Terra...
  • Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon - Why not?
  • Seiren: Hello, Not-Amagami SS.
  • Hand Shakers: Sounds so ridiculous that I'll give the first episode a shot.
  • Granblue Fantasy: Eh.
  • Gabriel Dropout: ZzZzZz.
  • YowaPeda: Probably will binge this.
  • Urara Meirochou: Cute.
Seems like an all right season purely on name and synopsis. I'll probably drop most of the maybes, though.

I mean, it's still a true statement. Many seasons these past two years, most of what I was watching was the shorts because they take up at most 10 minutes per episode.

The only thing I can find out about Seiren is that it's related to Amagami SS, which I do know that a number of people that have similar tastes to me have liked.

Well, it wasn't actually adaptation, they randomly mashed routes to create new Kagari-chan route =D

Well, the first half was an adaptation... The rest, was uh. I can't even call that mashed material from the other routes, aside from one moment for the feecof route, lol.
 
Is no one watching Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu? You all make me sick. This anime is a masterpiece and we only get shows like this once every few years or so.

Aside from Rakugo, I want to watch Little Witch Academia and Scum's Wish. Unfortunately, they are Netflix and Amazon exclusives. (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻
