"People often say that this or that person has not yet found himself. But the self is not something one finds, it is something one creates."

I absolutely love this quote because of how different people can be o.o The whole perspective on self and what you show yourself to be is incredibly fascinating to me xD

Following a similar theme of a few others who already posted

"The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago. The second best time is today"

"Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending," by Maria Robinson.

I've never particularly known Maria Robinson to say as a writer, but when I did come across this quote, I felt like it actually meant something. So many people regret what they've done in the past that it sometimes hinders what they can do in the future. Instead of worrying, just wake yourself up and say, "I might have done that before, but today I'm going to change what I can do tomorrow."

I just like the gist of the saying and how it actually stands for what people should do in life. I'm sure if many others live by this, life could be a lot easier on many as well as more accomplishments could be met. Overall though, I find it quite inspiring to myself as there have been many times I wish I could go back in the past and change what I've done. Though, I can't so, I just make the days to come better regardless of the wrong I did before.

1. What is your favorite quote? Whether it be from a book, a movie, someone you know, something you've created... anything.
I have two. They are:
A)"With great power comes great responsibility" ~Spiderman Movies
B)"Feelings never die. They just dim" ~Bloodex. (That's my own quote)

2. Why is it your favorite quote?
A)It's deep, and it states the bare facts. With more power, more pressure is put on the beholder.
B)It justifies my feelings, and many of my friend's feelings, and I'm sure many others. You never truly loose the love for someone. You always have a thread of care for them, even if you don't think you do.

1. Who the hell do you think we are?! /sorry, been watching Gurren Lagann lately D:

"An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind." - Gandhi

2. I can't really say why I like this quote. My stepsister used it in her signature on an account elsewhere, which I used. I have to admit, it is rather true :X

Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.

2. Why is it your favorite quote?
It...just is. I don't know why, but I found that this was a really artistic and inspirational quote, and that it portrayed something so true so greatly.

I have several. But right this moment I'll go with:

(Do lyrics count? Oh well...)
1) "And somewhere in the between, is the life in which we all dreamed, and nothing and no one will ever take that away." - "Somewhere in the Between" by Streetlight Manifesto.

2) "The lower you fall, the higher you'll climb." - Jeffree Star (? ; I don't know if he originally came up with this or someone else did)

Why?
Well, I have had experiences which both quotes have helped me get through. The first by Streetlight Manifesto has given me the will to achieve what so many people have told me that I couldn't. It keeps me going.

The second quote is for the same reason too, I guess. I've been through some bad stuff, but it's only made me want to work harder. And I will. I don't expect anything less of myself now.

Some dance quotes I love:

"Dancing is dreaming with your feet" - unknown

"Do it big, do it right, and do it with style."- Fred Astaire

"Dance first. Think later.
It's the natural order."- Samuel Beckett

One from America's Best Dance Crew I almost died laughing:

"Well, we are the Asian and we have small eye so we like robot" -Poreotix

"Power will corrupt you." (Unsure where I heard it :/) It's true, power corrupts people. It goes to their heads.

My favourite quote would probably be the following Cree prophecy:

Only after the last tree has been cut down

Only after the last fish has been caught

Only after the last river has been poisoned

Only then will you find money cannot be eaten

As for why, I suppose it's because I agree with the message they're giving here, and I think they've found a beautiful way to express it. ^_^

"If ten million people do a stupid thing, it is still a stupid thing."

Haven't a clue where it's from, but I love it. It's basically my life philosophy in a nutshell, because anybody who knows me will tell you that I'm anything but conformist. I don't care if everybody else is smoking/getting piercings/whatever; if I don't want to do it, I'm not going to start just because everyone else is.

Also, for more of my life philosophy, this one is an adapted quote from xkcd.

"Love is a game. The only winning move is not to play."

I'm gonna eat my words in a few years, I know. But I'm linking this back to the first quote. People tell me I should get a girlfriend because I'm fifteen and most fifteen-year-olds have girlfriends. "I say poo to you, sirrah, and hand me that flagon."

(That last bit of randomness came from me. >_<)

A) I do not care what car you drive or where you live. If you know someone who knows someone who knows someone. If your clothes are this years cutting edge. If your trust fund is unlimited. If you are A-list B-list or never heard of you list. I only care about the words that flutter from your mind. They are the only thing you truly own. The only thing I will remember you by. I will not fall in love with your bones and skin. I will not fall in love with the places you have been. I will not fall in love with anything but the words that flutter from your extraordinary mind.

B) It reminds me of what really matters...

My favorite quote is " Destiny is not something written in the future, but it is something that we write in ourselves everyday. "

Definately "Faith isn't the ability to believe long and far into the misty future. It's simply taking God at His Word and taking the next step."

- Joni Erickson Tada

My favorite quote of all time:

"Go web. Fly. Up, up, and away web! Shazam! Go! Go! Go web go! Tally ho!" - Peter Parker

1. What is your favorite quote? Whether it be from a book, a movie, someone you know, something you've created... anything.
"Ignorance is bliss." I don't know where that was said originally said, but I love it. <3
2. Why is it your favorite quote?
Not saying that I like to know nothing, but I would rather not know of some things in this world and be happy not knowing them, rather than knowing an inconvenient truth and being pained with knowing about it. It's like knowing one of your friends said something behind your back and you were told about it by someone else. It's not a good feeling, and you wish you had never known.

1. What is your favorite quote? Whether it be from a book, a movie, someone you know, something you've created... anything.
"Use your best judgment."
2. Why is it your favorite quote?
It's a saying I'm not sure where originated from, but is commonly used by one of the Physics teacher in my school as well as those influenced by him. It's simple advice that goes without saying, and yet it would save so many lives if people would follow its message. "C'mon, you know better than to do that" moments lack these. ._.;

"Life is good. If you don't believe me, go to your local burn unit, cancer center or cemetery. All of them would gladly trade places with you ASAP."

I can't remember where I got this or who it's by, It was on my Facebook Quotes Section.

I can't really explain why I like it without going into a whole huge debate with myself about it. (*has just delted an entire large paragraph from this post*) I just always think about that when I have a problem or a down day. Kind of like the quote "You could be a lot worse off" [Not mocking them or anything like that!!!!!]
