I demand that Final Fantasy Tactics be added to this poll!

I agree, I loved that game!

But overall I will have to still go with FF7, that game truly redefined a dying genre, and amazed me with its storyline (c'mon you know we all shed a tear when Aeris got the drop from Sephi what other game has given you that kind of connection to the characters lately?), one of the greats ;)

    FF5 is the best imo.

The job/job command system was sweet...

I think the recent FF's are losing their originality... I guess this is what happnes when a series runs for a long time.

Final Fantasy VII is by far my favourite. The hcaracters were all unique, and the story line is one of the best I have ever come by. Its not very often that you can find such a good RPG game. Its a game where you have to play it countless times until you actually understand the plot 100 percent. It's evident that it is a favourite to most Final Fantasy fans, because Square Enix are developing it further, what with Advent Children, Crisis Core, Before Crisis, Dirge of Cerberus and the follow up to Before Crisis. I think their going a little far, but I do hope they make a re-make of it for the PS3, they are caving, it has been stated in multiple interviews with the creators.

Well I'd Say My Top 5 Are

    1:FF7
    2:FF8
    3:FF9
    4FF-11
    5:FF-10
    6:FF4

I would have to say Mystic Quest or II. I like II Because of the Learn/Say system and the ability to run (In the WonderSwan Color version only). I don't really know why I liked Mystic Quest.

I hope they follow through with what they started too. Showing us all that gorgeous footage in the FF7 Technical demo for PS3 and then saying they have no plans to remake the game...

In any case i agree with all of what you said it truly is one of the most complex weaving greatest stories to come across in video games ;)

    Well my top 5 are:

    1. Final Fantasy Tactics
    2. Final Fantasy IV
    3. Final Fantasy VI
    4. Final Fantasy IX
    5. Final Fantasy VII

My favorite is 8 mostly because the characters in that one were pretty much the only set that I really really liked. Squall-y and Seifer totally topped the deal. :)

    Top 5:

-Final Fantasy X (I lurve Auron. ^_^ UNSENT's BEAST! Except Seymour. He bugged me after the first 3 fights. -_- I was like, 'GAWD HOW MANY TIME DO I HAVE TO KILL YOU FOR YOU TO DIE AND GET OUT OF MY LIFE ALREADY???!!!' and yet he still came back.)
-Final Fantasy VI (or III. w/e you call it)
-Final Fantasy X-2 (D*mn battle system.)
-Final Fantasy VII (Graphics bug me. Advent children PWNs.)
-Final Fantasy VIII(Once again, graphics bug me, but I find their cutscenes are better then the more recent ones.)

And just for the record, my favorite Aeon has to be either Ghost Train (not by use, it kinda sux by use but by it's appearance XD) and Anima.

*God I hate VII fan boys/girls...*

1)IV, PSone version, as it is most like the Japanese IV, Hardtype with no Add-ons Best Story Ever, Paladin Cecil ROX MY SOX!
    2)I, just something about it...
3)V-intresting Story, nice system. Good Character Development
4)VIII-I cant resist a good love story :cheeky:
5)VI-The True pinnicle of the series. Only reson VII sold was because fans were expecting it to be as good as this.
    6)IX-Decent homage to I-V
7)VII-Ironic, yet, I feel strongly this game is over rated, alot of the others are alot better.
8)X/2-I don't like the sudden twist to Asian culture, wish it was less Subtle
    9)II-Dont like the System
    10)III-Never liked it
    11)XI-Don't like MMORPG's
12)XII-Just lable it Star Ocean 4 SquareEnix, thats exactly what it is...

Final fantasy VII for me. The characters, the music, the storyline, everything about it is just awesome. To be honest: I actually liked the blocky graphics too. And the battle graphics were awesome, considering 3D graphics were fairly new when FF VII came out.

Too bad I never got to play through the whole game though ;-; My old computer didn't open FF VII for some reason, everything that happened was a black screen popping up and closing after a couple of seconds <.< And my windows XP computer messes up at the chocobo races and the patch didn't do anything at all -.-

ff7 is my second best, i have to go with ff9 on this 1. (mainly because of the comedy and moogles)

I'm a big fan of all Final Fantasy RPGs, but for me...

It's a toss up between FFIV, FFVI and FFVII. I like those games more than the others, but I will have to put my vote for FFVI. I like the game the most.

FFVII and FFIV are both tough choices. Naminé can't decide...

FFVII got a good complicated plot. Sephiroth is an ever-lasting villain in every gamer's mind just because he's that cool and he got a good history to back up himself. The materia system isn't all that bad in gameplay, and did I mention how great the plot is? A good RPG can only be so good by gameplay alone. You need a good plot for it, and that's why FFVII is considered one of the best RPG games. The only possible con about this is that if you equip everyone with the same materia setup, then your characters are hardly any different from one another... which I don't like too much but bearable.

FFIV is more comedical but the plot isn't any worse than FFVII. It also got many great hidden humor to old FF, so it's rather rewarding to long FF fans. It shows how square didn't forget what they've made (too bad they didn't make fun of the "Nintendo/link lies here" grave, or the "spoony bard." in FFIV.) It's more relaxed in nature, while FFVII is more serious. The system isn't too bad, though the level up stats calcualtion can do some work...
