I wanted my team to consist only of Hoenn pokemon able to mega-evolve. I tried to make the most of mega-evolution since I never really used it in Pokemon X.

I loved them all and they all had impressive synergy with each other.

...except for Ninetails. I have no idea why, but Ninetails did not pull its weight on my in-game team. Sorry, Ninetails fans.

HM slaves I've carried around if I recall correctly:

-Latios (Dive, Fly, Waterfall)
-Zigzagoon (Cut, Rock Smash, Surf)

Too many HMs isn't a problem for me since I was using only one Pokemon.

Having beat Alpha Sapphire the other day, my team when I beat the Champion was Swampert, Exploud, Tentacruel, Altaria, Azumarill and Heracross. I used Mega Altaria a lot near the end of the game, but I busted out Mega Heracross against Glacia and Steven. I never used any items in battle, just like my first go with Omega Ruby. My entire team was Level 51/52 at that point, then they were all 53 following the Delta Episode.

I wanted my team to consist only of Hoenn pokemon able to mega-evolve. I tried to make the most of mega-evolution since I never really used it in Pokemon X.

Pretty similar to mine, though I don't have Absol and Gardevoir. I didn't evolve Mudkip until Level 35 so that it could evolve into Swampert almost instantaneously. I've never been that fond of Marshtomp. My team in Alpha Sapphire was much more original than Omega Ruby where since it's only possible in this game, I obtained Ash's team without trading.

I've got Swampert, Greninja, Lucario, Emboar (shiny), Noivern, Serperior. All between lvl 50-60. I haven't beaten the Champion yet, it's my 2nd playthrough :D
