Which came first?!

Chicken or Egg?

Ah, the eternal question: Which came first?

I would have to say the chicken because it must have evolved from something and when it did, it gained the ability to lay eggs. I'm not totally sold on the creationism theory in which god created life. We all evolved from monkeys and they evolved from something else millions of years ago.

The egg of course. It doesn't have to be a chicken's. It can be a lizard's

The chicken came first, no matter which angle you think it from - religious or scientific.

Chicken :3

Only because the egg wouldn't be a chicken egg if it wasn't laid by the chicken... wait... no, I'm getting lost in arguments >.<'

Chuck Norris cooked the chicken and pooped the egg. Thus It's Chuck>Egg>Chicken

The egg came first, not the chicken. Since I believe that the chicken evolved from some prehistoric being, I think the first chicken was hatched out of an egg. The mutation had to be happening from egg to egg over thousands of years, so the first chicken must have come from the egg, since it could have no other way of being alive. The chicken came first, you say? Then how was that chicken born, from a rock? Birthed from a mutant carrot? It came from an egg, and so the egg came first! :]]

This. Couldn't have really said it better myself....It's only logical that the egg would have to come first.

Clearly the egg came first.

reason: the egg does not have the be a chickens, the egg mutated in the dinosaur period thus creating a chicken from that egg.
like latios had said, it does not have to be a chicken's egg, may be a lizards or dinosaur. the chicken didn't fall out of the sky did it ?

edit: I didn't notice until now that many people have the same answer as me, sorry

I believe it was the chicken and then there came the ability to reproduce.
If the egg would have come first, who sat on it and who mothered it when it was helpless?

UGH these questions make me feel like my brain was run over by a lawn mower. um, I think the chicken came first.. maybe some like, dinosaur evolved into it or something. :| idfk. OR MAYBE.. the egg DID come first. Maybe two dinosaurs of different species mated and created the chicken. YA NEVER KNOW.

And scrolling down I realize that's already been said, so I don't feel like a total lunatic. ♥

Religiously:
Ze Chicken 'God Created all animals on the day...'

Sceintifically:
Egg, maybe. Two birds that were different fell in love and made a hybrid of what we all know and love [cuz it tastes yummy] today: ze chicken

The chicken comes before the egg, because the chicken gives birth to the egg which starts the process.

the egg came first of course!
You see a dinosaur lets say T-rex lays an egg, that egg then hatchs into a miniature T-rex that does not grow more then the size of a chicken then that lays and egg and bang you have a chicken?
So the egg came first.

An Arceus chicken!

I think the chicken came first... it makes more sense. The egg came from a chicken... thus meaning the chicken came first.
