Which Gender do you pick?

I always play as the girl. Pokemon is a fantasy land so I can be whoever I choose, lol. Plus, IMO the girls always have better designs than the guys (yes, even in B/W) and Leaf from FR/LG is my favorite design out of all the protagonists. But if you've known me for any length of time here, you already know that :P

I'll probably continue playing as the girl until they give a male character a top hat, tuxedo, and monocle. Which I honestly don't see happening in the forseeable future, so girls for me xD

Well, in FireRed, I chose male... Then in R/S/E, I always choose female... Weirdly, those two are the game counterparts of Ash and May... =/

I always choose the male character (Even though the females look cooler) because I'm a guy

I always choose the male character , except for runs on my Diamond. I just like girl (Dawn
) better than the male. Haven't played Platinum yet, but I'll play the boy this time around.
Every once in a while I play as the girl just for fun.

Just pick whoever I like better.
FR/LG: Leaf
R/S/E: May
D/P/P: Dawn
HG/SS Gold ( I HATE LYRA, I REALLY HATE LYRA. WHAT WAS WRONG WITH KRIS?)
B/W: Hilbert. However, since Ive gotten into Weefee Battling, Ive been looking to change my characters gender and name....ACTION REPLAY, AWAAAY!

I've almost always played as the girl. The only times I haven't were first gen (for obvious reasons), my second time through second gen (for a change), and then in HGSS because for a long time I didn't like the female trainer's design and slightly resented her not being Kris. :x

But I haven't even liked the male trainer designs since second gen so it hasn't really been a difficult decision.

I usually pick the opposite gender of what my sister picks. If she choose male character, I'd choose female character, if she choose female character, I'd choose male character, you get the point.

I always pick the female character, except on SS since I like the male design better, and on an Emerald game because I got sick of May.

Usually I play as male. Playing as a female doesn't bother me, and sometimes I prefer it for design.

SO NOW TIME TO BE A JUDGMENTAL PRICK. <3

Gen 1: Leaf, because you gotta love that hat. Red is pretty cool but screams "HAI I'M THE EVERYDAY POKEMON TRAINER." That is until you find him on Mt. Silver and he's as scary as the grown lovechild of Freddy Kruger and Jason. D:

Gen 2: Lyra, for her big poofy hat, but her red/blue combo makes it so it's a wash between the three characters.

Gen 3: Tie. They were both really good in my opinion.

Gen 4: DAWN 100% OF THE TIME. What are you doing with your life, Lucas.

Gen 5: Hilda. But I really do like Hilbert too. I just think Hilda had a tad better design and better color coordination.

Gen 5, 2:

WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE ;;

But the guy I guess since he isn't that bad. ._.

I usually pick male because I'm trying to play as myself. :P

The best that I feel I've ever done in a Pokemon game, though, was (purely by coincidence) as a girl in Crystal. The only other time I played as a girl was in Sapphire because I chose to play as the male in Ruby.

Generally I pick the boy, because I don't really mind and because by picking the boy I can just spam A

For strange tradition what I took from my friends in Pokemon or another game I ever choose the diferent gender what I am so how I'm a man I choose the girl protagonist xD.

But in Black/White, the girl sprite it's a ****

I've only once picked male, for my Emerald version. Other than that, I've always liked the female choice (being a female myself!)

Almost always female.

Because the male character tends not to look very good in my eyes, but Brendan and Hilbert looked cool.

I've always picked the female. I don't know why. I've always thought the male sprites looked so cute, but I always choose female.

Though the Black/White female looked so amazing so it was obligatory that I had to choose her. xD

I usually pick Female since I am one. But when I get the other game I pick Male so I can play the game a different way I did before.

I've always picked the male protagonist, but think I might switch it up and go all genderbendy for BW2. It won't make me any less of a man if I choose a female video game character in a game targeted at children. Not at all! :D
