    (This isn't a duplicate of the thread about napping.)

    Everyone has, at some point, woken up during early morning (or very late night) unintentionally. What do you do to fall back asleep? Or do you just give up and begin your day?

    Waking up at 4:30 this morning gave me the idea for this poll. x;

    Whenever I wake up in the middle of the night, around 1-2am, I just lie down again and try to sleep. If I can't well...I eventually do. There's not much to do around the house anyway so I'd rather just sleep.

    Haha, how ironic, somebody with the username Rest is viewing this thread.

    Depends entirerly on when I wake up.
    Lately I've been trying to fix my body clock, so if it's 1-3Am, then nope, I'd probably go back to sleep. Five or Six o'Clock though and I'll just start my day.

    If anything around 30 minutes before Alarm clock, then I don't go to sleep again, otherwise yes. What do I do to fall back asleep again? Well, lay my head on pillow and close my tired eyes again.

    I have a hard time falling to sleep so if I wake up I usually just start my day. If it is really early I just browse PC or visit the battle server to kill time.

    A. If on a work day, whenever the time, I force myself back to sleep.

    B. If on a vacation day, I would usually get up & start my day by wasting the extra hours doing random stuff, or if I'm up at late night, I would try to go back to sleep, if not then I go do more random stuff until I feel sleepy.

    Happens to me a lot - if I wake up without an alarm clock (meaning I have no reason to wake up early) - I'll just fall back a sleep in a few minutes, I just have to find a comfy position in bed to fall asleep in first.

    Alarm clock woke me up I have a reason to be awake, but sometimes I wake up 30 minutes before alarm clock, I'll just wake up, might have time to take a quick shower or grab some breakfast.

    It depends. If I have to wake up at like 8 and I wake up and 6:30 then I just begin my day. If I have nothing to do that day, then it depends on how tired I am. If I feel rested up and I wake up at 5, then I begin my day, but if I'm still tired I'll go right back to sleep. (I usually go back to sleep :3)

    if i wake up from 12 pm till 4 pm i can't sleep again..after that i can just lie on couch and close my eyes for sometime ..i'm a night owl so my sleep is in the mornings even if i have something to do next day i can't force myself to sleep

    Well, what usually happens is that I open my eyes, stare at the ceiling, then grab my phone to look at the time. If it's 1-4 am, I groan, punch my pillow and fall face first into my pillow.

    If it's before 5:30 and after 5, I go to the bathroom and try not to fall asleep on the toilet.... which sadly has happened once or twice. :I

    Well, I once woke up at 4:30am due to a really bad case of the sniffles...my blocked nose kept me awake all night long, and what's worse is that it happened on a school day. I couldn't be bothered to go back to sleep, so I woke up and watched a bit of TV, then got prepped for school.

    If I wake up in the middle of the night, I tend to get a glass of something then go back to sleep. If I can't go back to sleep, I just turn the fan in my room on. For some reason, the sound it makes calms me down.

    Most of the time, I will just turn on the computer and surf the net, play some games, whateveryoucandoonthecomputer.

    Whatever the time is, whether is it 2.30, 3.30, 4.30. However once it reaches 5, I will just prepare to go to school and enjoy the dark view of the empty school.

    Dipu's post made me laugh. If you're that tired, you probably shouldn't get out of bed. x;

    If it's light out and I just am having trouble sleeping, I get up and go downstairs. I usually end up sitting there for an hour or two before I fall asleep again.

    If it isn't light out, I just irritatedly try to sleep. Except I usually end up moving around a lot, so I of course am not going to be able to.

    Sometimes I wake up at night because I move around and pretty much fight the wall in my sleep haha. It's surprising to wake up due to a loud thud because you hit your face against the wall.

    It's like they say, the early bird catches the worm! Although I guess that doesn't help much if you're not awake. =P

    I've also had times where I would wake up thanks to my allergies. Ugh.

    My body pretty much has a internal alarm clock set at 5 am. Even if I fall asleep at 1 am I still will wake up at 5 for some reason. I can function decently with a lack of sleep so I'll just start my day from there. If for some reason I wake up before 5 I almost always fall back asleep a few seconds (or what feels like a few seconds) after I wake up.

    I'm always fortunate enough in that any time I wake up, I have no problem falling back asleep within a few minutes. On the flip side, it takes me almost forever to fall asleep anyway, so I guess it balances out a little.

    On the rare occasion that I do wake up and have trouble getting to sleep again, I usually find that going to the bathroom, then going back to my room and pointing the fan at my bed does the trick.
