Will Ash Utilize Mega-Evolution?

I'm 90% sure Ash will utilize Mega Evolution. I think the writers are trying to create an opportunity to make Megalution look like some really powerful technique that requires mastery before Ash just straight up uses Megas. Something kind of like the Korrina episodes, but even more in-depth.

Also, I noticed at the end of the dub's new opening that there are a bunch of Mega Stones circling around the logo. I think it's safe to say that they are an allusion to events that will occur later in the season.

I'd like to see that one larvitar Ash took care of come back as a tyranitar and have him mega evolve it, to fight some big threat that shows up. Perhaps Lysandre?

It would seem quite weird to have Ash own 2 pseudo-legendaries on the same team, but I would like that to happen.

It is confirmed that Ash will not. He already went straight for Coumarine City after the battle with Korrina.

Spoiler:

I hope that he does get Mega Evolution. I also hope that for the league he uses Charizard,Glalie, Sceptile, and Heracross and Mega evolves one in each battle, with the final battle being him using Charizard (Y since Allen has X).

does someone remebers haunter?
maybe ash find it again in a gengar and get a mega gengar right?

He isn't going to get Mega Evolution guys. Where would he even get the Mega Bracelet from? He also rarely ever evolves his pokemon so he wouldn't have a fully evolved one that could Mega Evolve or worse, he'd get one aaaaaaaaaand give it to someone else or release it. If he had a Mega Evolved pokemon, the writers would not have some cheap easy way for him to tank and lose at the regions league.

If Ash does not obtain a mega Pokemon he will get absolutely destroyed in the Kalos League.. I would like to see Ash fight Alan.. A Mega Charizard Y vs Mega Charizard X.

No cuz he's the 'underdog' so why would he need a mega pokemon when he loses so much anyways?

Maybe, but then again, his being an "underdog" never stopped him from possibly getting a Goodra, which is a Pseudolegendary, so never say never. Besides, from XY's ratings, I doubt the Anime can go for another generation, so they may have to wrap this up as neatly as they can, not to mention actually allow Misty to pursue her goal.

As long as there are video games coming out the anime will keep going; it's a cornerstone of the franchise. If it ends with XY, I will be very surprised, and more than a little concerned.

Anyways, if Ash has any sense, he'll use Mega Evolution, because you can bet that it'll crop up in the league...if he doesn't use it, then it'll be the one person with a mega evolution that beats him, in all probability. Which would be a cheap way to knock him out, but not a surprising one. But he's seen it in action, and I think it'd be quite out-of-character for him NOT to use it...Ash has never been overly concerned when the odds are stacked against him, but he's always wanted to get stronger and improve, and Mega Evolution is a way to do just that.

I can sort of see his Charizard popping up with the stuff needed for it to Mega evolve into Mega Charizard Y (since X has had more than enough anime exposure, I can't see it getting even more somehow) if he elects to rotate his team this time around...which, if he's going to use Mega Evolution at all, he's going to need to. Charizard is, unfortunately, the most likely candidate, as it's come back multiple times and is one of Ash's strongest Pokemon: it's rarely failed to bail him out of difficult situations since he's been able to control it. Charizard would probably be able to bypass the learning curve as well - all that Charicific Valley special training, blah blah blah.

Actually, from the way IrregularMaverickZ was talking, the Anime barely enters the games radar regarding essentiality (and besides, technically, the Super Mario Bros. cartoons served a similar purpose to the Anime regarding the Mario franchise, yet that clearly hasn't resulted in the franchise dying off due to the cartoons being cancelled after Super Mario World), so I wouldn't be too sure of that. And I would probably expect a big end to the anime considering it's doing extremely poorly in terms of ratings right now.

That I can agree with.

For some reason if Ash ever does get Mega Evolution for his Pokemon. I want to see him Mega Evolve either his Sceptile or Heracross.

Nope, Ash will not be obtaining Mega Evolution. The only one of his pokemon he truly has that level of bond with is Pikachu, and he doesn't have a mega evo. Even the bond with Charizard, the second strongest behind pikachu, isn't that great. Add to that the fact that, based on previous seasons of the show, Ash's team will consist only of Pikachu and 5 gen 6 released pokemon, and the only gen 6 with mega is Diancie, Ash won't have mega. Also if they give Ash a mega, then there would be less chance of him losing, or having to fight to over come a great challenge.

Satoshi doesn't have a great bond with Lizardon? Back during Best Wishes, an entire episode was dedicated to showcasing Lizardon and how close Satoshi was with it. Satoshi and Lizardon's connection is always highlighted whenever it makes a return, and it would easily be believable for him to achieve Mega Evolution with it. The reason I don't think they will, at least not before the League, is because Hinoyakoma already makes Lizardon redundant.

I hope that thread is true. Ash really deserves a Mega Pokemon. It'll be a good way to promote the feature, and merchandise, not to mention that we get to see our fan favourites (Charizard, Sceptile, maybe even Glalie and Heracross) again and even stronger than ever.

As for which Mega he'll use, it'll either be a pokemon at the lab, such as Charizard, Sceptile, Heracross and Glalie, I doubt Glalie and Heracross will mega evolve, it is more likely Sceptile to promote ORAS or Charizard to promote XY. Ash already passed the chance to get a Lucario in the Korrina Arc, but he may get one, since he has aura. I'd like to see his Pidgeot he released return and mega evolve.

As for Serena, I think she might get Mega Absol, as her game counterpart has one, but personally, I'd like to have her use Mega Altaria.

Ash is a noob. No chance he wins even with mega evolution.

While it could be an interesting concept to see Ash utilize Mega Evolution, I have a gut feeling that the writers might try and not make him use it just to keep him as the "underdog" who has to do more to overcome a challenge that he could likely steamroll if he was using a Mega.

Even if they did get Ash to use it, I wouldn't see him utilizing Mega Evolution with any of his Mega-capable Pokemon other than probably Charizard or Sceptile.

I know Satoshi is in Japanese, but not everyone know the Japanese name, so it'd be great if you kept it in English.

Anyways,
I think that if Ash ever would have a Mega-Evolution, his first Mega evolution would be Charizard hands down. It'll not happen anytime soon, but I reckon it'll happen when the Pokemon league gets nearer. Although I'd like Ash to get Charizardite X, I think that the Charizardite Y could be more reasonable, as the Design of Charizard would change that much, as its design is notable in the anime itself.
