I heard Drogba got hurt on the arm. Hope he can play for Ivory Coast. And they say Brasil has an excellent defence. Holland won 6-0 against Hungary but they got 5 players injured in 1 month. They're very good but they never won a World Cup. There's also Ballack missing from Germany.

Yeah, I was just reading a little bit about them and they're an interesting side. Obviously Hamsik is an amazing player but the lesser known players are pretty solid too. They'll have good competition with Paraguay to go through.

Personally Spain have the best players and they work better as a team and they have a good manager unlike Maradona.

If Argentina come up against Spain (which they'll have to if they are going to win) then Spain should outclass them completely.

Was that done on the world cup game?

I always get Spain beat Brazil in the final on that. (including that time it glitched and sent me out despite coming 2nd in the group)

Only difference was when Australia somehow won.

Well I'm in the mood to go on Football Manager and lead a team to the world cup and attempt to win it.

EDIT: Hamsik is another one for the 'ones to watch' list.
 
Interesting on that EA Sports thing that England came third and only lost on penalties to Brazil in the semi-finals. Still, we'll probably get France in the quarter finals so we might get to the semi-finals.
 
hahhaha everybody is soo afraid of Argentina hahaha you jsut dont admit we are one of the greatests teams ever this time. btw if you actually think that brazil is gonna win pff think again becaue brazil was good in the past, cafu, ronaldo and all of them are gone now. kaka can try but the teams isnt best enough to even beat paraguay xD England is a very strong team and I think it has a great chance of winning, but argentina does as well.

Brazil isn't about the individuals anymore, they're very good as a team now.

Some players like Kaka keep the old Brazillian style but players like Elano help keep the team well orchestrated. They have a better chance than Argentina for me.

Argentina. Individuals and not a team and a bad manager but me off Argentina. Come back once you've become a team. That reminds me that Argentina broke the Hemisphere pattern when they won it in 1986 in Mexico.

Yes. Does anyone else that isn't Argentinian hate Leo Messi for being so good?
 
I don't think he's the best.

His tricks etc. work in the spanish league but I'm of the believing he gets found out against stronger opposition such as in the Inter games in the semi-final of the CL.

Doesn't show up for Argentina either.

Ronaldo is still better for me.

Remember, if it hadn't been for that poor decision with the handball, Barcelona would have been in the final.
 
Messi is the best player in the world..I really don't think that Ronaldo comes close, I really don't. Messi just does some unbelievable things, but makes it look ridiculously easy...Sure I think I'd need to see him in the Premiership to fully judge, but from what there is too see, he is clearly better than Ronaldo.

Messi is only good with Xavi and Iniesta on his back. Ronaldo made Man Utd 'Ronaldodependet' (Man Utd this season didn't won even one trophy) and that's happening again in Real Madrid. Wait for the next season, when he will be trained by Mourinho, then you'll see how better he is than Messi.

About the thread question, Brazil or Spain will win.
 
If rankings actually predicted outcomes, Brazil would beat Spain. And Either the Netherlands or Portugal would get third place. Unfortunately, they don't...

wow, my dad is so hyped about this year's world cup. He can't shut up about it. I'm a bit hyped about it as well.

I personally go for Mexico, but I also go for the US team.
