    The worst character designs for the hero in my opinion were Pokemon XD and Diamond/Pearl/Platinum.

    I thought the game was fun, but the main character just made it somewhat disturbing.

    Hilbert has a really poor design, imo. He just seems like a weak rehash of Red, whose hair color clashes badly with his coat. Hilda's design is better than Hilbert's, but it's one of the worst female character designs out of all of them. Lyra would be another distasteful design, her overalls and pigtails a bit too whimsical for my liking. Kris's design was much better than Lyra's and it's a shame that she wasn't brought back.

    I think his design is ok, and his name's Hilbert? LOL
     
    My only Isshu with Hilbert is that the bottom of his jacket is unzipped. Seriously, who does that?

    I'm not going into the spin-offs. Out of the main games, I'm going to have to say either RS Brendin or Lucas. RS Brendin has a     really creepy smile and his pose is terrible. Lucas has some of the most idiotic clothing I've ever seen in DP and Platinum. No offense to those who like that hideous hat! :D
     
    I really disliked the male trainers in gen 3 and 4. :/ Especially 4. So, so boring. (Especially compared to Dawn who I thought was absolutely adorable.) I also don't really like Leaf or Lyra's designs all that much.

    But I think gen 4's guy has to take the cake for least favourite.

    She seems like anorexic white trash with the worst looking daisy dukes ever. But the worst part about her are those sideburns. My god, what kind of person has those sideburns. It's one of those things that you can't forget about once you see it once.

    Despite sharing the same gender with it, I refuse to use it in any Sinnoh game, opting for the female at every possible opportunity. XD
     
    I dislike the female characters. Seriously dislike them. Mostly their clothes. It would be nice to see one that actually covers her legs for once.
     
    Pretty much all the male characters. Gold was the best of the lot. Red looks too much like Ash, Brendan's hat/hair/whatever makes him loo like a 75 year old trying to look trendy, Lucas' hat is atrocious and see Red comment for B/W male because they tried to emulate his look.

    As for females, I dislike the B/W trainer and May's Emerald rehash. Rest of the girls are perfectly fine, though ;)
     
    dont like any of the male characters except for the black and white one.
    especially hate the ruby and sapphire guy, the bandanna annoys me much more than it should.
     
    I actually liked Wes's style in Colosseum. The worst hero design definitely goes to Ruby/Sappire male or Platinum male.
     
    Worst girl: Lyra. I think I've played as the female in HGSS a total of...one time. Her in-game sprite isn't terrible, but that artwork. I was in the "bring Crystal back" bandwagon when I saw Lyra's design. Just...no. And that name. Lyra. -shudders-

    Worst male: Honestly, I like all of them in terms of sprites. Artwork wise, I'll go along with Brendan. That creepy smile, man.

    I refuse to acknowledge that as a hat. He has naturally white hair and is wearing a headband. This perception makes him infinitely more awesome imo. XD

    XD Everyone does.
    I noticed in Gen and 5 the male hero keeps the bottom of their jacket unzipped, however it's shorter in the 4th Gen hero.
    I always hated Lucas the most. His hat is just horrible.
