Would you be in favor of another mainline Pokemon game?

Hi everyone. I personally would be in favor of one. The Legends Z-A doesn't really sound like my cup of tea. I would be interested in another mainline pokemon game that's an entirely new region.
Any other additional thoughts would be appreciated.

Yes. We're going to keep getting new regions, there's no doubt in that, and I look forward to it each time (even if the quality of the games hasn't been great lately). The Pokémon designs are my favorite aspect of the series and they almost always nail those. Multiple I adore in each new gen!

    yes of course,

this franchise could use another mainline type games, or perhaps a revival of mystery dungeon/ranger?

If we are talking about the main series, then the first Gen8 DLC, the Isle of whatever, is the only time I thought main series content was terrible. And by that I mean complete underhated garbage. I cannot stress how much I despise that stupid DLC and how worried I was back then hoping that Gen9's DLC won't be as atrocious as SnS's first one.

Awful plot, most of the new characters were boring, the only feeling I felt every time I played it was "Wait, why the HELL did they do that?" or "Why am I playing this disasterpiece of a DLC for the fourth time". And I played it at least four times HOPING that I would eventually see it as good but it only got worse each time. I have played original SnS without the DLC and I find it completely playable without it, for the record.

Thanks to that DLC, 2020 is an abhorrent year for gaming.

That's literally the only time I thought main series content was irredeemable, and since then no games or even DLC quite as bad as that. So as long as it's not as bad as Isle of Crapass, I'm fine with more new games.

If we do end up with another main Pokemon series, where would it take place? I'm totally fine with something similar to Unova or Kalos.

Or even better -- a revisit to the classic regions (Kanto, Johto, etc) but with new Pokemon species discovered.

(ngl, Kalos needed more love anyway.)

As long as the franchise remains profitable, we'll keep getting new main-line Pokemon games. Now, whether said games are any good is another matter entirely, and the hit and miss nature of Pokemon games has been leaning toward more misses lately.

But I'll definitely be watching Let's Plays before deciding whether to buy the next main series game. It's too risky (for me, anyway) to blindly buy any new Pokemon games when the quality has been less than encouraging lately.

If we do end up with another main Pokemon series, where would it take place?
It needs to take place in North and South Carolina, naturally lol

The series will continue. Although I wouldn't mind them taking more time between releases.

Even giving them an extra year could make a difference on the quality. I'll play it anyways, but my expectations are low with any series that pumps out games at a rapid pace.
