    In X/Y, NPC would often ask if you'd like to tip them for their services. You can tip either 100, 500, or 1,000 pokedollars.

    Did you tip in X/Y? I probably did, but I don't even know what the point of this feature was, besides culture.
     
    I saw someone say this actually increased shiny rates lol.

    And also allows other clothing options evidently from what I've seen lol...I'm recently going back through X and I've seen this several times...one off hand is the old dude at the Strange House, Scary House, Spooky House whatever it is lol. I've always told them no just to save money and it seemed odd plus I really needed healing items before I had Fly.

    It doesn't increase shiny rates. That's just a rumor that isn't true... :x It does, however, increase style points for the boutiques, though.
