Would you rebuy Pokemon games on Eshop? like if they add the NDS,GBA,GBC,GB pokemon games to Eshop would you buy them?

I wouldn't. I have real cartridges, and that's how I prefer to play. If one of the batteries died and I was unable to get it fixed though, then I probably would, but it wouldn't really feel right for me. I just really prefer hard copies and playing things on what they were intended for.

    I believe I would, koffi~

I no longer have most of my collection, as I went through a rough spot for a time (still am in a way) and sold off several games of mine. I do like having cartridges and cases though, so if I had a choice between the two, I'd almost always choose the cartridge over electronic purchase, koff~

I would buy rebuy Emerald and Firered or Leaf Green. Maybe Yellow as well. I also love having cases and the games, but since Yellow, Firered and Emerald all come in boxes. I wouldn't mind.

I'd only buy games I currently don't have. There's no point in buying a Pokemon game you already have unless you have an undying love for Game Freak.

If I had the chance, then first and second generation Pokémon games are the only ones that I would buy. To me, it'd feel quite epic to play these old-time games on such a newly-made console like the 3DS. Haha. As for the rest—I wouldn't consider buying them at all, to be honest. I already have the physical copy of these games right in my drawer, so if I ever felt like playing them, I could simply open up my DS and stick the cartridges in. d: If I ended up losing a couple of these at some point in the future, then I could download the digital copies onto my computer and play them in an emulator.

I have really been hoping that the e-shop would add the older games because I would totally buy them all. It is really hard sometimes to find the old games because of all the fakes that are out there so having them available for easy download would be ideal. I can already imagine playing the classics like Crystal and Yellow on my 3DS and it's seems like it would be a really fun experience. Maybe they will be available one day!

Yeah but I can see them being like 5 dollars and in my opinion that is a little to much since 2 dollars on the app store is a little to much

I'd buy the games up to the 3rd gen, but they'd have to be reasonable priced. I'd prefer to have a hard copy of the games, but if I don't have anything to play them on then there's no real point in having the cartridges.

I think another question in relation to this thread is if the games were available on the eshop, how much would you be willing to pay for them?

I think anything up to €5 is reasonable for them, but I could see them being more......

    Only five bucks? Really, koff~

Don't you think that price is a little, er, cheap? I'd say at least $10. If they could update the games so you could communicate just as you would on the original gameboy, that'd be great. Heck, even create a 'retro looking' GTS for Pokemon Versions Blue and Red. That'd be nice, koffi~

If they made sure the games could trade with others on the 3DS, fine I'd get them no problem. . I think the GBC Zelda games are about €4 on the eshop, so I think Pokemon should be the same realistically, especially when they're relatively easy to emulate on a PC/Phone, etc... €10 is asking too much for the games imho...

I would only do this if they would improve the amount of pixels with the 3ds xl screen, then i would definitely buy it. But make them at least 10 dollars or something.

If they sold them for a reasonable price and made it so that you can battle/trade in older games via the 3ds without cables, sure!

I would I they were at a cheap price (like $5-$10). I'd probably actually only buy the first 2 gens because none of my original games work (my Crystal is still working though).

it would depend on how much the game was, if under 15 pounds/dollars sure I would download from the e-shop.

I would even go so far as to say that 15 of chosen currency is a big excessive....

The thing about these old cart games is that Nintendo stands to make no profit off them anymore. If I have Blue and sell it off, I make X amount from it and Nintendo makes no profit. That's not going to be very good news for them. These are long overdue on the eshop, and as others have said, it's really surprising they haven't already, especially considering the other games in the eshop catalogue...

I like to have the physical copies of the game, so if they made the first two generations available to download, I would consider getting them. Not the third generation though, because I already have a Gameboy Advance SP, so I could just get the real deal.

If they gave us Emerald in the eShop along with the ability to transfer Pokemon from that file to our 4th gen games, they'd have my money faster than they could put the games up in the shop. Even if $10 does seem a bit much, I'm sure I'd get suckered into it, seeing as I never actually had my own copy of Emerald, but loved the game so much.

If they had the first and second gen titles too it'd be nice, but I wouldn't be as anxious trying to get them as I would Emerald.
