Pokemon was not able to be hacked/manipulated?

During my short stay at this forum, I've learnt a lot more about the Pokemon games, from EV training, how natures can determine a Pokemon's stats, hacked Pokemon and RNG abuse.

It seems some of this is quite popular, but my question is, would you be as hooked/keen on the Pokemon games if you couldn't RNG abuse/hack/clone/manipulate shiney Pokemon etc.?

To answer my own question, I wouldn't be phased. I didn't know about it, nor would I be bothered to know about it. I enjoy the one arm bandit type luck of hatching Pokemon eggs to get the nature you'd prefer. I also secretly enjoy the type of choices of only having one item, such as 1 Masterball or 1 Electrizer, so choosing who you use them on is vital.

I'd say there'd be a few people who'd be disappointed if they were unable to do such things. Either because they enjoy doing such things or because it saves them time.

I suppose the ROM hacking's different, as it's not hacking for your own gain. Though to be honest, I don't know anything about it so I could well be wrong.

I don't hack, so it wouldn't bother me. I think that the games would be hackable in some way or another, even if GF tried to make it impossible. There are many people out there who would would itch to hack a game, hack anything!

I'm not one for hacking so I'd be happy if Pokemon was unable to be hacked :D

It's no fun to me if I were to hack. It doesn't give me that sense of accomplishment. Such as when I catch a shiny. It doesn't feel special if the PKMN was hacked... =/

I'd still be a bit interested because it makes things easier for me in-game, but not so interested at the same time because it takes away the challenge of playing the game.

I don't hack at all with my games, so it wouldn't bother me if the option was removed. Not only do I not hack because I don't want to be kicked out of official tournaments (it's happened to others that I've seen), but I don't want to lose the sense of accomplishment from being rewarded for my work. I knew someone who hacked a full team of shiny Pokemon with the best natures and the perfect move sets and were fully EV trained, and I just couldn't believe it. I couldn't see the point of going that far.

For me, the fun of the game is taking the time to fully explore and work towards a goal, instead of just simply cheating and getting the reward instantaneously.

I don't like to manipulate/hack Pokemon games. I prefer to played the hacked ones. But answering for your question - Positive, I would be still interested, because I didn't try everything on those games, like challenges or making weird, but strong teams.

I ever played for such things, and know practically nothing about them; same way I'm not a PC gamer solely for mods.
    So yes.

I would be stoked haha I don't hack and it's ridiculously unfun to battle someone with hacked pokemon. I think hacking just takes the fun out of it. EV training is okay, the point of the game is to raise pokemon to the best of your ability and to battle using SKILL not hack codes to get a perfect pokemon.

Nah, it wouldn't bother me too much. I usually like to play any game legitly anyway. Taking time to actually train a pokemon is much more self-rewarding than hacking one, atleast to me.

I've never battled online, as I'm pretty noobish when it comes to things like that and would most likely get my bottom handed to me on a silver platter.

Though another reason is that I know, as some of you have mentioned, some people have hacked Pokemon. Not only that, but people can get flawless Pokemon with the best of the best stats. So I always think there's no point in trying.

... All that and I don't know any friend codes to battle anyone! I 'spose you can get random Wi-Fi battles on that Pokemon Wii game, Revolution?

Also someone mentioned about Nintendo making more money. Yeah definitely! I was talking to a few friends about Pokemon and they said they played it now and again, I was like "Oh awesome, I never knew! What's your friend code?" to which they replied "I don't have one, I play it on the computer". I was clueless at first, until I found out they downloaded it somewhere and could play it on their iPhone!

It wouldn't phase me. I battle competitively without EV trained Pokemon against other trainers who do the same, so I could really care less about natures and EV's and IV's, etc.

So to answer the question, no, this wouldn't effect my love of Pokemon.

No, I wouldn't be really affected if none of this was possible. I don't bother with that stuff. I just play through the main story and...that's it. lol I'll start again when I wanna.

I never bother with hacks or stuff like that anyways, so it wouldn't affect me personally. I just play through the main story and restart whenever I'm bored again. :D

I only use hacks for leveling up my Pokemon, EV training and such since I don't have the time, but I don't think it would have an impact on me. I would just go on Shoddy instead of Wifi battling, and would play the games for the ingame experience.

It depends on what you consider as hacking. If people couldn't "hack" into the games and see all the hidden numbers and such, I don't think we would know about EV's or IV's, unless the game company decided to reveal them to the public. And If I didn't know about the more in-depth side to the game I think I would have got bored with it pretty fast.

But if you just mean hacks like cloning/RNG Abuse/etc., than I would still like the game as I don't deal with any of that stuff anyway.
