Would you want to see Mega Nidoking and Mega Nidoqueen?

I think Nidoking and Nidoqueen fall into that category of Pokemon that people definitely know about but aren't really considered great, so I think Megas for them could be neat. We could see something sort of along the lines of Mega Tyranitar or Mega Aggron for them visually, I think Poison/Ground is a cool typing they've had forever but never done something really cool or interesting with.

I feel like underrated mons should get a Mega treatment or some kind of new form be it regional or something new entirely. I don't know what their typing would be if they got Megas.
 
The Nidos need some type of love, whether it is megas or regional forms. I've been hoping for both of them for a while. Because I believe they used to be some of the most popular pokemon, but that was a long time ago... like a long long time ago.

I think they could easily become fighting/poison or pure ground if they were to get Megas. Aside from the leaked megas, we don't really have an indication in which pokemon would be getting Megas. But they Nidos definitely need something. They are one of the last Kanto Lines that hasn't gotten anything.
 
I personally would love to see the Nidos get mega evolutions, but I do also think Nidoking is already fine as is. Ever since gen 6 buffed his atk. stat to 102 it hasn't crossed my mind that Nidoking is underpowered, underrated, or outclassed. Being poison/ground gives immunity to paralysis and poison. Plus great STABS the more poison types got better tools and became the answer to fairy mons. Maybe it is because Nidoking has always been a personal favorite of mine and because nothing else can take away the King's crown.

Nidoqueen however could definitely use a mega because she has a much better movepool that doesn't get as good as a usage. 92 for your highest attacking stat is now considered below average. If only one were to get the Mega then give it to Nidoqueen.
 
I wouldn't mind it, but would prefer them not to get one tbh.
A game in Kalos really needs to have more actual Kalos Pokemon to have megas. The only one that has one is Diancie and that's a mythical. This game is the perfect chance to right that wrong.

I agree, mega Nikoking / Nidoqueen would be fine enough I suppose, they're overlooked and could be given new life through a mega evolution. But Kalos has so few megas as-is I'd prefer as many slots as possible be used to flesh that roster out. Kanto got plenty of pandering in Gen 6, I don't think Z-A needs to bring that particular part of XY back.
 
I'd love to see them get Mega Evolution formes- ever since Generation I I've always really liked Nidoking, he just looks so major! Maybe his and Nidoqueen's Mega Evolution formes could be Poison and Dragon, or Ground and Dragon...? It'd be really interesting to see what their Mega Evolution formes would look like.
 
I never knew the Nidos were considered overlooked! They've always seemed really cool to me... >.>
And as a Nidoking lover who uses one in almost every Fire Red playthrough, I'd love to see it and Nidoqueen get a Mega.
 
I'd like to see these 2 get a mega 1 day. Makes these 2 cool Pokemon more relevant. However, doesn't anyone want to see more Johto, sinnoh, unova, Kalos, and future gen Pokemon with new megas? This may start another thread or go to an older 1, for going off topic though.
