Wait, what is a pokewalker and where can I get one??

Something that counts your steps?? Sorry for being stupid. Will it come with the US versions??

I didn't order the game from Jap. this time, I hope so too!!

I don't see why not. It adds a fun feature to the game, and would also probably help NoA make more money. And isn't that what it's all about for Nintendo? Captain N, anyone?

And yes, a pedometer is an item that counts your steps. As for more information on the Pokewalker specifically, there are some posts in the Help Thread, and were threads about it that were bumped off the first page.

To answer the OP, I'll be bringing mine to work with me. I do a lot of walking there, and I'll be working more than playing the game. I'll just have my DS with me to bounce around the Pokemon I have with me.

My goodness, I would where it, but it would only count about 50 a day!! xD

Not to school, no. To work, yes. Especially if its one of those jobs where I stock shelves (video store or a grocer) or deliver flyers or mail.

Coffee runs for the caffeine addicted inebriated coworker...

I hope so and would think it would. All considering the Wii and Wii Fit 1 & 2 and the bazillion education/pro-health games for the DS.

If not, it may do well as a stand alone chunk of electronics packaged in excessive amounts of everyones favorite plastic.

hell yeah i would, or just shake the thing to hell of course...

That would be amazing!! I don't walk that much, I mostly sit on the couch all day, it would be a surprise to see actually how many steps I take a day!!

Ah, yeah!

The Pocket Pikachu washing machine.
I taped my Pocket Pika to my little brothers Jolly Jumper.
Back in the day, a neighborhood kid rigged his to his sister's sewing machine, LOL.

That's the easiest way!!!

I've taken mine to college on several occasions.
I usually tuck it under my shirt, along with my USB sticks, which I carry, being a Programming Student and all.
So, it's nice and discrete.
Plus, alot of my lectures are on the fourth and fifth floors.

Its nice to see such openess to not caring what others would think of you if you wore it. Like i always say who cares just do it if you like it. I would wear it all the time, even when going to the gym since its 20 blocks from my place! wow i wonder if it would really level a pokemon quick.

5 steps.PIKACHU gained a level!

5 months later..

Your Pikachu is dead you lazy bum!You haven't walked in days! Why?I don't know.Stop eating those Potato Chips!

I would love to see tht in a pokewalker.

It would so get taken out of the market. I don't know if any one remembers the WII fit calling this girl fat and they didn't like it so they did some lawsuit or something. It was ridiculous.

It probably will come with the pedometer because ive seen this one game for the DS that counts your steps and it comes with two pedometers that sync with the ds to let you unlock games and other type of stuff.

On a side note i read some where that to be healthy one needs to take 10,000 steps a day or walk hmm i think it was 40 blocks or 60 i don't remember quiet well.

o.e...wtf?lol.itd be funny tho.i wouldnt give back my defective pokewalker.even if it finds celebi and celebi has a gun and a gang with mew, jirachi, and manaphy in it

I have before. not high school, not middle school. I took it alot of times to my College, lol. People liked it. they wanted it. or played with mine abit. lol
lol.Pokewalkers kick @$$.It's a good thing because some kids don't like walking(me.lol) it'll motivate 'em to walk to lv up their pokes!lol.im serious.Go pokemon!

ok just a little confused here....... I've seen pics of it, but what does it do? i'm kinda getting the idea that it trains when you walk?
