6th Gen X/Y Third Version Speculation Thread

Yeah, we hafta gather a lot of Squishies. Lol So I wouldn't be surprised if there's a Core C or D etc.

Makes me wonder if gathering Squishy's a one time plot thing or if it's a permanent thing? It can be exclusive to 'Z version' too.

For now I'm saying it's a one time thing, since it might cause continuity problem. For instance our Zygarde (50%) from XY version, like is it going to revert back to 10%/Core/Cell forms if it stayed in 'Z'?

It would be also annoying and troublesome for the developers to apply this mechanic in the future games, not to mention coding works differently for each generations.

Now I'm more sure about my speculation that Zygarde 100 percent will be two 50 percent Zygarde fusing.
For the games I think that Lysander will have one and we the player will have the other. Lysander will force our's to fuse with his and he'll go and do his thing. That or we the player will have to find a character (could be AZ or Zinnia) with another in order to create perfect Zygarde in order to stop Lysander's Xerneas and Yvetal.

Btw, do you think it is just a coincidence that Zygarde's event will begin on the 12th of November, 3 days before Masuda's apperance in Pokenchi? On the topic of Pokenchi, as I mentioned prior, they tend to hype up their next episodes in previews in the past variety shows. If they still do that then I expect a hint of what to expect to be given in this week's episode.
 
An episode from the XY & Z series aired today and something interesting was pointed out. Ash currently has 7 badges whilst Sawyer has 5, but when comparing badges it seems that Sawyer has 3 different badges than Ash does.

It looks like the first badge would be a Fire-type gym, Viola has moved upto the 2nd gym, Water-type taking the 3rd gym and then Ramos remaining the same with an unknown type for the 5th Gym. Thoughts?

This is interesting, but I'm not gonna go against you for the time being as you could be right. I have to note that unknown badges have appeared since the classic seasons. The best examples would be Gary's 10 badges from the Kanto region, Barry's badges from DP and Cameron from BW. :)
 
The 2 other badges looks like a Fire and Water type gyms. Maybe we will get one of Team Flare member being a gym leader. The 5th ones looks like either Flying or Fairy.

Unfortunately he doesn't give a direct link(I'm going to try and find it, although the only Japanese I know is the character for "laugh" or "laughing"), but 2 posts up he says that the interview was with the anime director in an episode of Oha Suta.

I had the same exact thought about the Zygarde event also, that it's 3 days before Masuda's Pokenchi appearance. I was also thinking about Pokenchi giving us a hint this weekend about what to expect on the 15th, especially if it's newsworthy. Masuda already gave us a heads up a month well in advance, so I wonder if they may or may not even give us a hint and just keep it a surprise... torturing us even more in the process. :/

That's really interesting. I remember though that Gary had a couple extra Gym badges during the Kanto saga, so it's almost hard to tell if this is the same situation or not. But, I would like to point out that those 3 Gym badges look almost too beautifully detailed to be just another Gary situation... that last one on the bottom looks like it could either be a Flying type or even a Dragon type Gym(because of the purple, purple seems to like being associated with the Dragon-type). The Fire-type badge made me think of Team Flare too, maybe an early-bird cameo of them in the game(s)? And maybe they could have Malva be the Fire-type Gym Leader for whatever reason... if they can take Wallace in R/S and promote him to Champion in Emerald, I don't see a problem with them doing the opposite with Malva by demoting her to a Gym Leader.

Anyone else noticed the that the pillar of light around Zygarde going up the clouds is kind of similar to how the Ultimate Weapon did? It also reminded me of the Pillar of light in OrAs but Zygarde's is light green compared to Rayquaza's. Huh, how curious that Pokemon Tretta's update is Ultimate Z... just the name choices are funny. Now if they mean anything else that's anybody's guess.
 
It's interesting how in the Team Flare sequence, it shows 50% Zygarde and Alain on their side against Ash and co. Alain I already know will eventually team up with Ash against TF, but TF have a freaking 50% Zygarde while you can clearly see Bonnie holding on to Squishy.

I think ORAS' theory about Team Flare having a 50% while you have a 50% is a little more likely after seeing that video. And Complete Forme in that video is freaking majestic btw.

They did the same thing with Barry and Cameron, so this is probably less of a hint of anything and more of the anime being the anime yet again.
 
Cameron had a badge introduced in B2W2 the Marion water gym one. His basic badge was purple instead of brown. Otherwise he got 3 unknown badges.
 
I think in Gary's case, it wasn't because of the anime. It's because he's Gary. :P

You know what would be cool? Is if they make Alain a game character this time, who is both a Mega-Evolution rival to you(because you get the Mega Stone instead of Calem/Serena at the Tower of Mastery) and works for Team Flare. A rival who works for the evil team, I don't think that's ever been done before. Not to mention both of you are working under famous people who are researching Mega Evolution, Sycamore and Lysandre, who both know each other personally to begin with. Just even thinking about this scenario is giving me massive feels. I would much rather have Alain as a main rival than Shauna, Tierno, and Trevor.

I hope we hear something next month... lord I hope we do. The new anime premiering is making me even more excited and impatient all at once.

So if the headline of this article, ポケモンのジガルデコアは「A・B」の２匹が存在することが判明, is to be believed, Yajima basically confirmed it. From the few clips they provide in the article, it's hard to tell what the exact conversation was, since it's chopped up into just 4 snippets in a 2 minute period. Maybe I can find a video or something.

Edit: Also, the text at the bottom says "Zygarde core". I'd like to say those are distinct cores, but I can't fully confirm that from the text due to Japanese's lack of any plural form.

I also think that Alain might be added to the games due to that reference and the fact that he is still appears to be in Lysander's side in the anime. It'll make him the first character since James and Jessie to be added to a third version when first appearing in the anime.

Maybe GF will bring back the follow feature but for Zygarde core and dog (maybe one or both of it's other forms...but that giant is big so...) only much like Yellow had Pikachu being the only one to follow the player. Won't it be funny if Zygarde core ends up being our starter?
 
I had run across an interesting theory on Reddit, and it had to do with the A Core, B Core, and the red and blue coloring on Complete Forme. The Core that we see now with Ash and co. has the "red core" inside it. What of the Zygarde that Team Flare is in possession of in the opening composed of the "blue core"? And when you get "Red Core 50%" and "Blue Core 50%" merged, that gives you the blue and red coloring that you see on Complete Forme Zygarde.
