6th Gen X/Y Third Version Speculation Thread

As for possible release dates we should keep in mind the games' relationship with the mascot's movie, Emerald and Platinum both came out after DD and GaSWS movies. Pokémon Crystal also came out after it's movie. The only games that came before mid July that were third version/sequels were B2W2 and that was only half a month. Pokémon 4Ever and Crystal had the longest gap at five months, so if they did a reversal of 4Ever and Crystal it would put the game in at least February. It'll be weird for the game to come out so early compared to the movie that is usually used to advertise the third version/sequel but then again Pokémon XY & Z season is having Zygarde appear in the anime ahead of the others...so the usual order is off.

Your comparing strange things. First in between r/s and emerald came remakes. Also between xy release date and now it will be 25 months at the date of this post. Also remind me what Pokemon4ever has to with Crystal because they seem completely unrelated other than suicune appeared in the movie. But yea most movies do reveal new pokémons or forms like with the lati twins or mega mewtwo way before the games introducing them come out.

I was counting the remakes as main games as one can tell by my mentioning of the gap thus far between OrAs' release and now. FrLg and Emerald had the shortest gap between themselves while RS and FrLg had like a one year gap or so (there aren't any solid dates I've seen on pre-Gen IV reveal dates sadly).


The movie that comes the year that the third version/sequel comes out in features the mascot of that game (started with P4E and Crystal), I think it's their way to advertise the games. Look back at some of my speculation on here before this July, I predicted that we would get the third version if Zygarde appeared in this years movie, but after I saw that it was unlikely I said that the next game will come out next year.


Actually Platinum, and B2W2 were both announced the same year as the movies' release. Let's hope 'Z' doesn't follow this.
 
I'm wondering if there will be anything in CoroCoro... if so, I wonder what it would be. I'm going to admit that the more anime news we get about Zygarde, the less motivated that I am about getting the game, out of fear of being spoiled too much by the anime.
 
i'm wondering why greninja didn't get shadow sneak in the games to begin with.
i mean other then SSB where its moves where put on by sakurai with just the artwork cause he was mandated to have a new pokemon in SSB4 roster before X&Y was announced.
 
Okay I just got an e-mail notification of a nintendo direct on november 12. I really hope it gets announced then. Also some other speculation topic, What do you guys think that 100% and 10% zygarde will have as a bst total? I am thinking about 500 or less for 10%, but 100% on par with mega/primal legends so around 770/780? Or do you think that 100% will only get a 700 bst total?

I'm thinking that 10% will get a bst around Phione's while Cell (core, if it can be used in battle) will get bst close to Snorunt's...
I think 700 is possible for Perfect Zygarde, maybe a little higher. It could possibly be as as strong as Mega Rayquaza and the Mewtwo or the Primal duo as you say, just because it'll help keep it stronger than Xerneas and Yvetal if they ever get their own primals/Megas in the future (unless if Perfect Zygarde needs to absorb them like Kyurem does with it's trio members).


Oh, that is earlier than I expected. Darn, I checked the time (2:00 pm)...I have class at that time...worse timing for me out of the directs I know in advance xD.

*chokes on Egg McMuffin* Holy crap, I really wasn't expecting it to be this soon. That's in 2 days from now you guys... I'm scared. :3

I've been wondering about Complete's BST too. Judging from its power comparison to Xerneas and Yveltal on the official site, it's probably going to be greater than 680. Maybe on par with Arceus, but that may be pushing it a tad.

I think it might be, or even more. The power creep would be most jarring with Perfect Zygarde if it does get 780 (a boost of 180). Perhaps each forme will be 180 bst apart. If so then 420 bst for Dog Zygarde (same as Linoone) and 240 bst for Cell Zygarde (fellow Z Pokemon Zigzagoon has that same bst... so it seems reasonable to have it go to 420 from cell to dog).
 
I'm certain it's gonna have a BST of at least 700, wouldn't be surprised if it gets significantly higher than 700 really . Power creep and all that.

Here's to hoping that the Direct or CoroCoro gives us the reveal finally....

If they do announce maybe Masuda will give us our first taste of Z's music this Saturday/Sunday ;). It'll likely be either the second to last or last thing if they do announce something like this.
 
Don't get your hopes up guys, I've been doing that alot lately lol.
I will be very suprised and HAPPY if we get a new game/s announcement :)

I will be mad, alright.. but not surprised ;)
I already made peace with the fact that we're not getting any new game in Feb, like many ppl speculated, including me.
Furthermore, with each day passing by I get less excited about it, especially since we get more and more hints at it being a normal 3rd version.

Well, we got no actual official games that were specifically marketed as RG's 10th Anniv game.

So, not surprised if we won't get a 'Z' of 'F' for the 20th anniv. {XD}

There's no prob with 3rd version. What GF, Creatures and Nintendo need to know is: Post-game features >>>>>>>>> Post-game crappy plot. They better not test the fandom's patience and tolerance, if 'Z' is as crappy as the other Gen VI, expect a sour beginning for Gen 7. *shrugs*
 
I do wonder if there's a connection between Zygarde's core colors, Xerneas and Yveltal.

Maybe the blue Squishy glows when Xerneas starts messing up around and the red one glows when Yveltal has began his killing spree. Lol

So there is another core, the wait for the "Z" announcement is being dragged on very strangely, still hope for news on it in the direct, but I am beginning to doubt it.
 
What if we get 2 Pokemon Z games each named after Blue and Red Cores and Zygarde Perfect would require to trade between each versions to get the other core.
