i think it would be funny if ash mistakes az for being a pokemon & tries to catch him. it would also interesting to see if he go's into the pokeball or not.
Would it actually detect him as a Pokemon? He's immortal because of his exposure to the Ultimate Weapon, which is fueled by the life force of Pokemon and people alike. I'm not entirely sure how that immortality would work; if those lives would actually be a part of him or if their power is just keeping him alive and devoid of aging for the most part. If it's the former he might actually be detected as a Pokemon, but the likelihood of it is very low considering we don't really have any evidence he's anything more than a person infused with boundless energy that keeps him from aging and dying.

Now that you mention it, that energy is bound to run out eventually. I have predicted before that Zygarde will kill him, and we'll be left with his Floette...but perhaps it just runs out on it's own, or Zygarde takes what little is left.

I think that would depend on whether Xerneas's energy was used when he was exposed to it. Xerneas has been stated to be able to bestow immortality with its horns, and I think it was this power that AZ used to bring his Floette back to life before he turned his weapon on the warring factions that took its life. If he was exposed to that particular power then I'm not sure it would run out.

Pokemon Z is basically confirmed. Zygarde plus the fact XY has a lot of setting up for a future game, like the Power Plant, that train station, not many new Pokemon, etc.

Some think the next game might be called XY(&)Z. Now if they that route perhaps it can be a third version whose story goes farther, like a sequel. It could have the longest story in the series...but considering their excuse for leaving out the BF in OrAs...well it seems like making a longer story would contradict that.

The fact that they made Megas easy to obtain after getting their Mega stone without needing to bond with it in anyway might also be due to them thinking that Pokémon players don't have much time to spend playing the games.

pokeballs should detect all "humans" as being pokemon, given that all the humans in the pokemon world are descended from pokemon according to the sinnoh myths + the fact that even if they had sprouted up cabbage patch kid style they would still be considered pokemon as that exactly how the weather trio & heatran came into existence.
theres to much evidence that "humans" in the pokemon world a hell of a lot more pokemon then they are human by real world standards.
other notable examples is sabrina, her father, olympia, sir arron, riley, & ash are also good examples of this given how they all got powers like that of a pokemon.
though in ash's case he needs those gloves to focus his power as he hasn't bothered to master it.
also according to sabrina(in game), all humans in that world are capable of using psychic powers.
then we also have the case of a human's turning into pokemon
It happened one morning - a boy with extrasensory powers awoke in bed transformed into Kadabra. (Kadabra FireRed Pokedex)
Each of them carries a mask that used to be its face when it was human. Sometimes they look at it and cry. (Yamask Black Pokedex)
According to old tales, these Pokémon are stumps possessed by the spirits of children who died while lost in the forest. (Phantrump Y Pokedex)
its always ghost & psychic types, so it can be theorized that humans in the pokemon world are psychic types with the occasional psychic/fighting type and turn into ghost pokemon when they die if they don't pass on.
the differences between them and the fact that despite marriages in the past there are not any hybrid roaming around can be explained by how the breeding system works given the offspring will always be the lowest on the evolutionary line of the female unless a certain item is needed(like pikachu needing a light ball to breed pichus)
as for why humans all look different can be explained by spindas
The chances of two Spinda having identical spot patterns is less than one in four billion. (Spinda Heartgold Soulsilver Pokedex)

I think that would depend on whether Xerneas's energy was used when he was exposed to it. it might also depend upon what pokemon where sacrificed as most of the legends seem to be biologically immortal.
in fact, i'm pretty sure thats what AZ is: biologically immortal.
its also indicated by the fact that he's still aging & growing despite gaining immortality. obviously his growth slowed down at some point otherwise he's be able to easily man-handle that giant tentacruel

I think that would be neat if they made "Z"s plot solely focused on Zygarde... what I'm talking about is a little different than what we have gotten in the past. What if we actually receive a Zygarde Core from Sycamore, who upon request from his old friend Lysandre, asks us to take it on our journey(instead of a Kanto starter), with a Mega Stone for our Kalos starter(provided they don't implement the Ash-Greninja mechanic to the game)as part of his research on Mega Evolution? And it would turn out that Zygarde does have direct ties to Mega Evolution.

I'd love that. It would make sense to try to strongly link the anime with the games in this way (like they did with yellow) if they wanted to do justice to the pokemon franchise as a whole for the anniversary and not just the games. They're even promoting side games like pokken for this year. Hopefully they're aiming for the 20th anniversary to be a resurgence of the entire franchise and give us a good direction for the future, and hopefully a direction that changes up the old formula a bit.

The games are great for the most part, but the anime has declined and had a lot of ups and downs, change is needed. So far the xy & z series has a different feel, slightly angstier and darker, would love if they could bring that into Z/future generations.

I think it'll be in late March or April, as Pokken will be released (I think world wide) in late March. That'll possibly leave GO as the only announced Pokémon project yet to come, so that'll be a great chance to reveal Z, especially as GO is said to be able to connect to the main games somehow.

Have games ever been announced in March or April before? I'm not going to lie, i was hoping that they would announce Z in late February for summer release, and they could give us the wrist thing for GO with those games. I know the third quarter is the most likely option though, since September is mostly when they've given us new games in the past. But they've also said they like to surprise us haha. There's my wishful thinking again.

I'd really like to see another game like Yellow again, where you get a different starter. I don't think this will be the case though. My speculation is that the 'normal' Kalos starters will get Mega Evolutions. They don't need to have a Mega Stone, but a maxed out friendship, which is practically the same as a strong bond between the trainer and pokémon.

If only the fans could write the games lol. I have a feeling you're right, doesn't stop me hoping though. They've kept Z under wraps for so long, this game needs to blow all other sequels out of the water.

They could possibly do that with the Zygarde core somehow ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But yeah, it's probably a longshot.

Idk, I'd rather that they still need mega stones. What would be the point in introducing mega stones but then making all these "exceptions" with several other Pokemon that don't nee them?

.....and just look at Mega Ray

I can't recall if games have been announced in March or April, if they have I honestly can't remember. But what I do remember is that most of the games have had a tendency to be announced roughly around the first quarter of the year, January-March. Oddly enough, this coming Friday(January 8th) will be the 3 year anniversary of when X and Y were first announced.

I was going to post this also a little earlier, but spaced it out:

https://nintendoeverything.com/game-freak-junichi-masudas-2016-greeting-for-pokemon/

Nothing really new here, except that he says "the ring of Pokemon is still getting bigger". But other than that, he's still putting a lot of emphasis on 2016 being a big year for Pokemon, with the VC releases of RBY, Pokken, and GO.

Yeah that's certainly interesting. At least he's telling us to keep tuned, that's something.

It'd be really nice if we got a game announcement on Friday, but going to keep my hopes low haha. But surely the sooner the better for the game being announced and released, especially now that xy & z is currently airing in Japan and is going to start in the US in like a week. They'd surely like the release of the game to be before the climax of that story, and Ash only has one more gym badge to get. A lot of team flare and pokemon league stuff too, but i would imagine xy & z will be over by September.

Is there any special on friday?

Hm, I feel like something special is going to happen with the Kalos starters. Why have a region that introduced Mega Evo, but then the starters in that region don't? And now they're waiting all the way into "Z" just for them to have Megas? I don't even know if the 2nd,4th, and 5th Gen starters will get Megas, and GF sure has been unpredictable when it came for the new forms of Zygarde, almost everyone(including myself) believe it was only going to have two forms with Thousand arrows/waves to counter Xerneas and Yveltal just like Kyurem had before. And with "Ash-Greninja" revealed, almost everyone believed that was Mega Greninja, but it wasn't in the end.

Sinnoh remakes will likely have the Sinnoh megas first. The earliest possible date based on the Original release year+ 6+2(G)=remake release year pattern is 2020, when they'll turn 14 (to continue the remake pattern of FrLg 8 years after original RG, HgSs 10 years after original GS, and most recently OrAs 12 years after RS, ps G stands for Generation in the equation. ) Could also be earlier, like 2019 as the remakes have been 5 years apart thus far (2004,2009, 2014, huh that'll also mean that the new pair of the gen like RS was gets remade 10 years after the remakes in that gen). I think that Gen VII will get a Gen IV pattern which would mean it'll have releases in a row for three years (well Z will be three years after Xy were released, when normally it's two years after, so getting Gen VII's third version (I'll perfer sequels if it's just being being released a year later) would make up for it ^_^. Now Johto's starters I see getting Megas in the Gen VII pair like the Kanto pair did, or replacing the Kanto starters in Z. Unova Starters will just have to wait 9 years or so for their's...

Methinks that when XY first came out, GF didn't want to give any Kalos 'mons Megas yet so we can have the time to get "used" to these new 'mons.

Then when ORAS came out, guess what? We got our first Kalos Mega, which was Diancie.

Methinks when the third XY game comes out, the Kalos starters will have their Megas introduced, BUUUUUUUUUT—this is just my opinion, btw—their looks will depend on what our Player Characters look like in the game.

Why do I think this? Well, Kalos is a region of beauty, and GF introduced character customization. And then in the animé, Ash-Greninja resembles what Ash is wearing. So yeah... :3

It's possible, it quite is.. let's see what tricks Gamefreak has up their sleeves. I just hope Delphox gets at least better competitively and gets a chance to shine. Chesnaught and Greninja are better than Delphox competitive-wise and Greninja seems to be the better choice out of all three of 'em design-wise. But, I can't wait till the day Mega-Infernape is a thing..

Personally Greninja is the worst design wise. I like the other two more. It is a good Pokémon though.

I have a feeling that either Mega Delphox or Mega Chesnaught will get Magic Bounce. Delphox because of the name (at least in english), and Chesnaught because it's known for it's defenses.
They could also get new abilities.

i don't think its gonna be mega's exactly, but something similar like primal reversion thas affected by your which starter you chose & your character's gender
ashgreninja isn't exactly the first time a pokemon has appeared with a human characters attribute & it ties in with the very game geninja was made for other then x&y, aka ssb4.
what i'm referring to is the alternate costumes in smash

for the most part its just hats and are focused on pokemon's mascot & the one that nearly became the mascot.
not exactly the point, but more then likely one of the main inspirations of ashgreninja.
