I don't think he means much by that... Funny enough if Pokémon were a person it'll be a member of Generation Z (as 1995 is one of the years used for the start of Generation Z, so with it being Copyrighted in 1995 and RG released in 1996 it is member of Gen Z).

Seeing him mention the word "adult" in his Tweet constantly makes me wonder... how would we feel if they were to make the next installment slightly more adult-oriented, in any way?

OrAs contained some dark stuff in the background. Perhaps Z will have dark stuff but in the main plot. Considering the anime is getting a little darker it's a possibility.

Yup. Today my Japanese teacher even brought it up. 20 is the legal age to drink, smoke, and vote in Japan.
 
For those of us in the United States, there is to be a Pokemon commercial during the Super Bowl. To get just a 30 second ad during the event, it costs roughly 5 million dollars:

This strikes me as kind of... strange? What could the commercial be about? Obviously 20th anniversary related, but for TPC to blow 5 million for an ad in the Super Bowl it would have to be something pretty significant.

Also the automatic duplicate posting on these forums are starting to get on my nerves... what gives?
 
Nintendo announced a distribution of Mythical Pokemons each months, starting this February with Mew at GameStop, sadly I won't be able to get them since it's GameStop exclusive, I don't get why they just can't do global release on wifi.

Idk, the Super Bowl is one of the most (over)hyped and most watched annual events in America, so the cost of the 30-second ad isn't really unusual. They make companies fork over a lot of money cuz they know that they'll be willing to do so.

But it is a little strange that they're doing a Super Bowl commercial at all. I would hope that it's our next main series game, but.....

As for the duplicate posting thing.....that happens for whatever reason in longer threads, and this one is long enough for that to happen now. Usually posting via "Go Advanced" instead of "Quick Reply" prevents it from happening.
 
So after todays's announcement I posted some thoughts on Z elsewhere, I figured I would share them here as well:

Pokemon Z will be a massive blowout! It's been worked on since the start of XY and they have had plenty of advances in it. The story will go bigger then before. We know flowers will play a key role in it. I believe all the mythical pokemon will unlock special things in game, and might even relate to the story. The ability to get Az's floette will probably come into play here. My bet is he ends up running out of immortality and dies peacefully, leaving his floette to the player.
I also wouldn't be surprised if there will be ties back to Kanto in this a well. I think that postgame we will go to Hoenn in an " Episode XYZ" in which the remaining plot lines between X, Y , and ORAS are wrapped up. Such as Looker, Ema, Zinnia and more.

All sealed off areas will lead to new areas in Kalos. I also think that volcanion will be important and get a primal.

As for when they announce it?

I predict that the game is announced before February 20th in a Nintendo Direct.

While that date?

Well in the U.S. XYZ the anime is airing way later then usual. There is usually a very short break between seasons. This one is over a month though. It airs the 20th. I think Z will be announced, with the U.S. anime being used to promote it here.

I also believe it will releasing either November or December. This is because that's when these distributions end. Things like the Jirachi distribution have started before the release of a 3rd game. This could be a similar scenario here.

Anyway that's the end of my thoughts on Pokemon Z.

Someone on here previously mentioned that the gap is usually four months between Japan and the U.S. I think it will debut next month.


I know it's unlikely but I kind of have a feeling that we'll be able to visit all the regions in some shape or form in Z. There were a lot of Unova references in XYOrAs (more so than other games mentioning past regions), while Hoenn might be linked with the plot, and Kanto might appear due to the 20th anniversary. Well maybe a 4/6 region game. Sinnoh will get remakes next Gen anyways (I guess they could remove Hoenn too and just reference it, while adding Johto). Oh but Volcanion was spotted in Johto and Sinnoh...

I was talking from a U.S. to U.S. new season standpoint. Which afer looking it up more, they seem to folllow a month break here.

Anyway, that idea could happen. I think we will be able to fully explore Hoenn at leas, because they already have it built up, so it shouldn't be to hard to do, plus they both have missing parts to their ending stories that tie in together.

Why were they doing it in the first place, what did they hope to gain from it? Why do it to almost everybody in Kalos when only the PC had pretty much garnered interest from Lysandre? It just seemed like a random moment in passing when it was discovered.

Hoenn doesn't necessarily have to appear though to tie up OrAs' loose end on Zinnia. As for Looker...well I am thinking that might be tied to Gen VII as OrAs take place before XY. We've seen a lot of set up not just for 'Z' but the next region too. It's been a different approach from past Gens. Though that'll put Gen VII a few days/months to years prior to the events of Kanto/Hoenn. Or perhaps Z will be a prequel after all and whatever happens leds to Looker being sent flying to Hoenn somehow. While Gen VII will be an interquel like a year or two after OrAs that'll have us see Zinnia and a still recovering Looker again. So many possibilities.

True there are a lot of different things hinting towards both places. Perhaps we go to Southern Kalos at the start of Z and then a new region that will answering everything and give us something to do with the strange souvenir? Which is why I think a new reason and new pokemon are possible.

Either way, Z should be interesting, we could learn more on AZ, Looker, Zinnia, Kalos Myths, The other war with Unova, and much more.

The region is said to be bigger than Kalos irc, so Z will be very big especially if they expand southern Kalos. I guess Looker could simply tell us what happened to him. I had a sudden thought...we know that Volcanion has been to Johto and Sinnoh right? Perhaps Looker was blown away while in one of those regions. Hoenn and Johto should be close like kanto and Sinnoh. So sometime before OrAs he lost his memory, at some point between it in the Sinnoh events he regained it, and sometime between Sinnoh and Kalos' events he lost his Croagunk... he's seen a lot.

Edit: Serebii says that the anime XYZ will come out in February 20th.
