For those of you who live in the general Northeastern Us, theres no doubt that you have heard of the Mont Vernon,NH murder case that happened almost a year ago.

For those who dont know, one night a group of 5 teenagers felt the need to break into a random house and kill someone for a source of entertainment. What preceded next was straight out of a horror movie. the five kids stabbed a mother to death with a shovel....thats right, a shovel. they proceeded to do the same with her 10 year old daughter, though fortunatly, she survived with heavy scarring that she'll carry for the rest of her life.

Now, 2 of the teenagers who would have been graduating high school now are requesting to have their pictures put into the high school yearbook because they have been in the system since kindergarten. Bear in mind, they have missed all of their senior year in jail awaiting their trial.

So do you think the 2 kids should have their pictures in the yearbook regaurdless of their past actions?

    Ahahahahahahahaaaaa...NO.

Dear God. They're on trial for murder, and all they can think about is their yearbook photo? Something is totally screwed up there ffs.

What's to be gained from not having them in the yearbook? A yearbook is meant to be a record of sorts, though they're not going to be able to enjoy it themselves if I guess right.

They weren't at school, so they don't get in the yearbook. It should have nothing to do with the fact that they murdered someone.

Personally, if they didn't even attend a single school day during their senior year, I don't think they should be able to have their request granted.

They weren't at school, so they don't get in the yearbook. It should have nothing to do with the fact that they murdered someone.
It's really as simple as that. It's what I'd expect the school to say so that they can avoid as much controversy as they can.

And btw, those kids are messed up if they though murder would be a fun way to pass the time.

Might I ask whereabouts the assumption of that being all that's on their minds came from?

    On-topic;
Because they've done bad stuff isn't a reason not to include them on the yearbook if they were at the school much of the time... but, yeah, they weren't, so no.

The fact that they asked about it at all is proof that they are dwelling way too much on it considering they are on trial for murder. The minds of any sane person would be much more preoccupied with the upcoming events, charges against them, and how they affected the lives of their victims.

It's not a matter of if they attended school or not; even if they attended every day of school up to their murder the day before year books are finalized, they should be yanked right out of that year book.

I'd disagree and say that there are crimes such as brutal, cold-blooded, firsthand murder that once you commit them your entire life should be in jeopardy, nevermind a lousy photo.

I believe a simple "not pictured" would suffice. If they went at least once, they should at least have that. But better yet. "Not pictured due to murder"
But, alas, it is really up to the editors/superintedant yadda yadda
Or, another plan, make a mockery out of them in thier own little page.

I have to admit, I don't know the story (and I'm ashamed to say that I'm too lazy to read it before voicing my opinion about it), but in cases like this I'm always hesitant to jump on the bandwagon. A lot of times the story we're told isn't everything. Did the five boys deny that they did it? Were they mentally unstable? I don't know the facts, so I don't really want to judge them.

Still, regardless of whether they are guilty or not, I think the school should and does have the final say in this.

We should prevent Israel from being in the international yearbook for being murderous lunatics.

From what I can see, naw, it would seem weird to have a murderer in my 10th grade yearbook. That's my take on it anyway. They don't really deserve to have the recognition a yearbook would provide.

I wouldn't want to see a really scary murderer in my yearbook. So I voted No.

I completely overlooked that line, and consequently, I'm now the only ass that voted 'yes'. XD

Obviously, if they didn't attend school for their senior year, they don't get to be in the yearbook. It's as simple as that. If they decided to do the whole murdering random people thing a couple months later, as in after the first semester of their senior year, then they'd have the right to appear in their yearbook (albeit, with the titles of "most likely to never be assimilated in society ever again" printed beneath them)

...Wow. Just, wow. You kill somebody just for the heck of it, miss all of your senior year because of that, and expect to get into the school yearbook? That is the most pathetic thing I've EVER heard. :/ They weren't there the whole year, of course they're not getting in! Plus, they KILLED somebody, they should be worrying about other things! If they're innocent, then sure, whatever, freak out about the yearbook. But..really...that's just pathetic. People like this oughta be quarantined.

Its true everything they did was HORRIBLE, but the yearbook system even if they did do something the terrible, their pictures and names should still be in it. But in like the back on the book where you might need a microscope to see.

I don't think it should be in there. They haven't even been to school a single day their senior year, because they are on trial for murder.

They have bigger things to worry about.
They will be in jail, how would they even know if their pictures were in the yearbook? One of their good buddy-buddies gonna bring it and show it to them?
No, they killed a family, scarred this little girl for life, emotionally and physically. Maybe they should ask her if she thinks they should have the priviledge of getting their pictures put in the yearbook.

Lol or maybe what Tyleer said, put in there so tiny that you need a microscope, and under their pictures written in tiny letters something horrible about 'em. =/

    Why not?

Seriously. Sure, the school will look bad but they still attended the school in some form. But if I doubt they will actually care.
