In a typical hot day of summer by the town's lakeside, I was hanging out with my best friend, playing soccer down a narrow street.
Honestly, at the time I was still totally oblivious about girls and never showed any interest towards them. It was my friend that, while we were exchanging the ball, spotted an extremely pretty girl, sitting on a stone chair nearby, reading a book. A doe-eyed brunette, with wavy hair and a beautiful, full lips. I noticed after a few minutes that he seemed more interested in something else, rather than the ball. So I asked him what was up, and, trying his best not to be seen, he pointed his finger towards the girl. Of course she saw the whole scene, not to mention she had already been aware of us playing soccer all along, so she replied with a smile.
At that point, we both stood still, almost petrified, then I quickly pushed my best friend back into the narrow street. We laughed and could not help but keep commenting on her beauty. Between the two of us, it was a challenge to decide who would go talk to her, since we were both so damn shy. In the end, after being tortured by my friend over and over, 'I' decided I would be the one speaking to her. So I approached her, friend behind my back, and presented to her. It was extremely awkward, she was almost naked since she was waring a beach suit, and being so close to her, I could see everything. I experienced something I had never experienced before, and literally almost drooled over her. She kept smiling, so it was like I had the sensation she knew everything that was going on in my mind. In reality, she kept smiling because she liked the both of us, proof being that she accepted to hang out with us the same evening.
My friend, having a strict family, could not hang with her that late, so they agreed to hang out a bit earlier, behind my back. So, while I was driving back home with my scooter to dine, fighting with the butterflies in my stomach, my friend got his first kiss. That sly b*****d!
Eventually, evening came, and I met with her by the lakeside, still not knowing what had happened with my friend. After talking a bit, she commented on my shyness and we kissed. My first kiss! It felt awkward, I did not know how to kiss, so I ended up kissing her teeth for a while, but then I got the hang of it and it felt good, warm and wet. We spent more time talking, hugging and kissing, then she went back to the hotel she was residing in ( she was from the city, and was spending her holidays with her grandma by the lake ) while I went back home for a good night's rest.
The day after, me and my friend decided to meet her again near the fields of the towns fort.
I felt something was going on when the the two of them were not displaying happy faces.
Then, that feeling became reality when he told me that they kissed the day before, and she apologized to me. I was speechless and mad, especially at the girl: I knew my friend liked her, and that something would have happened eventually, but what kind of excuse could the girl possibly give? She hung with me, and stole my first kiss, hiding the fact that she had done the same with my best friend earlier the same day. At that point, I told her I would never see her again, and that she could have my friend instead. She started crying, and I drove back home with my scooter. Later, she kept texting me saying she was sorry and that she didn't want to be with my friend, but with me instead. I don't know if it was simply my ego taking over, or that I wanted to take revenge on my friend, or that I couldn't help but want more of those wet kisses, but I forgave her and we passed many evenings together, either kissing on the beach or by the towns streets.
It was an all around unforgettable summer experience.
Eventually, she had to go back home, and I kept visiting her every once in a while, even though she lived far away and it took 2 hours by train every time.
In the end, the long distance became painful and we both got lost in our daily affairs, fell in love with others, and then totally forgot about each other.
Sorry for the long story but it made me reminisce of past memories which I hold dear!
