Your own item

Out there, there are millions of Pokémon items; some allow you to recover yourself, some gives you chance to come back to life after fainting, and some raises your stats while battling. Of course, there are plenty of others--these are merely examples.

Anyway, so, if you were to create your own item, what would you call it? In what way would it perform? Would it be available in-store, or is it rare--found only in certain places? If it's former, how much would it cost? Would it have effect only on certain Pokémon, or all?

Let's try staying away from discussing Poké Balls, as we already have an ongoing thread for that!

I would like to create an item where it can be used competitively. It is a held item that would multiply your Pokemon's Defense stat by x1.5, but making so the Pokemon can only use damaging moves... Pretty much a Defensive version of Assault Vest. It would only be available in the same places as the Assault Vest and cost the same as it. I don't know what to name it though. Maybe Ballistic Vest? I'm not sure.

Or maybe there can be another variant where the Pokemon's Defense and Special Defense stat is increased by x1.3, but the Pokemon's Attack, Special Attack, and Speed is reduced by 1/3. Just an idea.

I'd like it if there were Speed boosting items besides Choice Scarf and Salac Berry. Speed is such an important thing during battles, but not all Pokemon want to be locked into a move or have their HP drop dangerously low (and lose that Speed boost upon switching out) in order to be faster. Maybe make a speed enhancing Life Orb type thing? Something that boosts Speed by 10%-20%, and eats away 10% of the holder's HP after every attack?

    Momentuman Diamond
Description {In-Game}: An item sealed away for its believed curse that tests the bonds between trainers and there Pokemon The wielder will gain or lose attack depending on the Pokemon feelings...

Essentially its an item that increases the attack of the wielding Pokemon the more it is damaged. It is based on how much the Pokemon likes its trainer, while also incorporating Pokemon Amie-affection levels.

Decrease in Attack <--------------> Increase in attack
    The Formula:
    -25% attack 50% HP +25% attack
    -50% attack 25% HP +50% attack
    -99% attack 1% HP +200% attack

Unboned is considered any happiness under 254 This means defects
Bonded is only 255 maximum with Full Pokemon Amie-Hearts the only level were stats increase.

Availability: Bought at stone emporium at Lumiose city for 75,000,000.

Metallic Vest. Prevents the opposing Pokémon from scoring critical hits.

This is long overdue, and would be a defensive booster's (and Nuzlocker's) best friend. Enough said.

Well much like the Leftovers and Black Sludge, I would like another item like that for another specific type. Thanks to the Item Clause, it makes it hard to have a team with walls when I'm only allowed 1 leftovers. So that would be helpful. I wouldn't know what to call it.

    Pixie Dust

Heals Fairy-type pokemon by 10% each turn.

For non-competitive or battling use: Dream Capsule. It changes the Pokemon's Ability to its Hidden one. However, once the change is made, the person cannot use an Ability Capsule or another Dream Capsule to change the Pokemon's Ability back to one of its regular ones. Also, because Hidden Abilities aren't as common, it'll be difficult to acquire (or be few in number).

When the Ability Capsule was first announced, I thought how nice it would've been if there were an item that could change the Pokemon's Ability to their Hidden one, especially since it'd mean all Pokemon's HAs would be usable. Like Sheer Force Feraligatr, something I've been wanting for a long time.

For competitive/battling use: Jet Pack (for lack of a better name). Increases the Pokemon's Speed by 50%, but prevents it from using any Status moves. It's basically a Speed version of the Assault Vest; it'd be good for revenge killers/powerful attackers as they wouldn't need to be locked onto one move. Alternatively, there could be an item that boosts a Pokemon's Defense by 50% and prevents Status moves.

Time Bomb: An item that will explode and take away 50% of the holders HP after 5 turns. It will automatically explode if the holder is hit by a Fire or Electric type attack.

Force Shield: Protects the holder from taking any damage directly from attacks(aka protects damage from attack, but doesn't protect against status effects or stat boosts/deboosts) for 3 turns, and then lowers the holder's evasion sharply.

This gives me an idea--if there were such an item, maybe they could make it so that your Pokémon would float in-air for a while, and be immune to all ground-type hits? It'd be sort of similar to balloon, but only thing different is that it's heavier, causing you to move slower, and it would last two - five hits as opposed to just one. This would be quite useful for Pokémon that are already slow, such as Metagross, Scizor, and Slowbro.

As for me, I'd create something called "Winter Shield." Basically, if it's hailing outside and you're happening to be holding this item, your physical Defense stat would be raised temporarily by two-stages. Once hail stop, you'd go back to normal. Three more are Drought, Drizzle, and Sand Shields, which would perform similarly, but only during sun, rain, and sandstorm, respectively.

This is the one item I'd LOVE to have!
MAKE IT HAPPEN GAME FREAK, OR FEEL MY SUPERIOR PSYCHIC WRATH!!!

& earlier today, I got an awesome idea!

    Legendary Items

These items have a VERY strong effect when held, but the downside is that there
can only be 1 legendary item per team.
(like how there can only be 1 Mega Evolution per team.)
so far, I only have the idea for one Legendary Item:

    Excalibur

When held by a Steel-type, inceases Atk & SpA by 1.3X & causes
    Steel-type attacks to be Super-Effective against Dragon-types.

Metal Boots: Holder is immune to entry hazards, but their speed is x0.8
Mirror: 20% of special damage received by the user is reflected. Shatters when user receives contact hit
Full Plate: Users stats are all x1.1, but all its moves have -1 priority

Probably something to give more love to physical fairy users, as in a new TM.

I don't know maybe something like a punching and kicking fairy move. I guess they'd work in in a similar manner to the mega punch and kick
