Here is my current deck setup:
Spoiler:![]()
The stacks are multiples of the same cards.
And here is my typical strategy and layout:
Spoiler:Toon Black Luster Soldier is the main MVP of the deck, since it can attack directly the same turn it is summoned. Toon Black Magician is a close second. Then, of course, Toon Kingdom is arguably the most important card in the deck, with its secondary effect of protecting any toon by banishing the top card of the deck.
If I start with Toon Table of Contents, I use it to pull Toon Bookmark. Then I use that to pull Toon Kingdom. Toon Bookmark can then be banished to protect Toon Kingdom. Then, I typically try to get Toon Page Flip in an attempt to get out either Toon Dark Magician or Toon Black Luster Soldier. If the former, I can discard a Toon card to bring out Toon Black Luster Soldier. Either way, once that's on the field, I can start popping off direct attacks.
Megamorph has come in handy when my opponent has 6000 or less LP and I have even less, attach it to Toon Black Luster Soldier, 6000 attack, and boom, game over!
Toon Terror along with the other traps can be great in stopping my opponent from preventing my direct attacks. I will note, however, that these non-Toon traps and monsters are kind of a placeholder with the hopes of finding better options, since I can't deck-search for any of those cards. The two types of defensive monsters are just there to hopefully delay my opponent by a turn while they try to get something that can pierce the defenses. In actual usage, though, they typically don't help me much.
I've tested one alternative in the Switch game, though I don't actually have them yet. Shadow Toon can be a viable option, choosing a target monster on my opponent's side of the field and dealing LP damage equal to its attack can be brutal. This is especially true if they pulled some maneuver to get a ridiculously strong monster on the field. Using Toon Table of Contents/Toon Bookmark to end up with two of these? Could be game-ending, if they have no counters for it.
Anyway, I'm open to suggestion on this deck build. I can't currently get any more cards because I'm broke right now, but I can always test out ideas on the Switch game. Suggestions are much appreciated!
Hmmmmm I will say I have 0 experience with Toons, but looking at the list I can already make some consistency suggestions. Since I do not see an Extra Deck, you would have much use for the Pot of Extravagagence and Pot of Prosperity. While the latter is still a fortune, that could change with some oncoming sets, but both allow you to search and dig deeper in your deck at the cost of some Extra Deck cards, but if you dont use Extra Deck monsters, that downside is irrelevant. Some normal monsters could be replaced with interruption cards such as Ash Blossom, Infinite Impermanence or boardbreakers like Raigeki, Lightning Storm, Evenly Matched.
Though this all depends on the decks you face. Some of these might be a bit... extreme when put up against others who also have similar decks like yours :p
