    Are there any yu-gi-oh fans?

    What's your favorite series and why?
    Who is your favorite character and why?

    Recently i just finished up watching yugioh zexal and it was alright, can't wait for yugioh arc-v though with the new"pendulum summons" and such. overall my favorite series were the original and GX, those were awesome and also had a great cast, the duels were amazing as well.

    My favorite characters are yugi/yami and jaden yuki their both laid-back, cool and great duelist. i started liking them more when i saw the final episode of gx when they dueled eachother :)

    What's your first impressions on Arc-v?

    • YGO is one of my childhood anime =D GX that is.
    That's why I still cannot decide whether I like GX or original more =D My favorite char is Atem but GX had awesome concept =D
    Probably GX...
    Unfortunately I still haven't seen anything else... I want to see 5Ds but I can't really find the time :/
    As for newest series... I'm not really sure whether I want to give them a chance :/

    I also own few YGO decks. I'm pretty proud of my Sacred Beasts =D

    I love Yu-Gi-Oh, and used to watch it regularly when I was younger. Favorite series would be the original; if you ask me, nothing would ever be able to top that. GX was good, too. Unfortunately, though, my interest started to wear off after that, and was gone completely after 5D's made its debut. :( Everything in 5D's season seemed... forced, so to speak, and episodes were repetitive. To me, it felt as if you've seen one, you have pretty seen them all. Would've been great if they'd put more creativity in.

    @Famon i think GX has more ratings, both should have high ratings though
    @Peit me to, i never really likes 5D's i just sticked to watching the original and GX

    GX may have bigger rating because it's more dynamic... more shounen-like.

    Told ya =D "Atem" =D Or in other words, Yami Yugi =D But Yubel Judai is closely second =D Dark Judai FTW =D
    I actually don't use them in deck =D I don't have enough usable Continuous traps for Uria and Continuous spells for Hamon =D
    I could only use Raviel =D

    • Yu-Gi-Oh.. I loved the Original Series but i stink at making decks back then XD Funny but my Favorite happens to be Yami Yugi as well

    I really liked Yu-Gi-Oh! I watched the Yugi seasons, as well as GX - I even watched a fair bit of 5D and Zexal.

    The problem I find, is that the newer seasons have far too many niche-decks. You rarely see two enemies use the same monster, everyone has extremely specialised decks with no overlap.

    Another problem, one that has always been, is the 'lucky' protagonist. So many times a protagonist will win a duel with a newly introduced card, that they've never played before ;-; it's a bit annoying.

    Mai Valentine was always my favourite character, perhaps followed by YGO5D's Jack whatshisface.

    • I remember Yu-Gi-Oh! being one of those anime shows I watched growing up, alongside Pokemon, Sailor Moon and Cardcaptor Sakura. My fave saga of the anime was the good ol' original series back when we had Yugi as the leading protagonist.

    I've also watched a fair bit of Zexal although that saga's characters didn't grow on me as much compared to the original series. Although I do think Astral looks kinda interesting for a major character. I barely watched GX or 5D's though so no real thoughts I can put here regarding those two.

    The original series had moments that made me laugh, especially the ones with Joey. Also, I loved how hot Eric Stuart's voice of Seto Kaiba was. He made me like the character more than I first thought. As for my fave character in the series? Definitely Joey, because he's hilarious and I do like humor.

    • Oh god, I adore Yu-Gi-Oh. Like it more than Pokemon, that's for sure. As for series, well, I've watched all of the oringinal as well as 5DS, and started both GX and Zexal. I loved both the orginial and 5DS. Zexal and GX I feel can be good, but I need to give them more time, I guess. I think it has something to do with the main character being a little kid (opposed to Yusei and Atem).

    I haven't watched Arc-V yet, but I'm gonna say this right now, Pendulum Summoning is ugh.

    You know , Its amazing how nobody complain about Atem/Yami Yugi being overpowered Or a Merry sue .
    I mean , That guy has 3 Egyptian God card .
    If we compare them to Pokemon then Atem/Yugi having 3 Egyptian God card is same as Ash catching ''Tao Trio'' or ''Creation Trio''.

    Not quite...
    1) He had to battle for them with maybe the two best duelists after Atem.
    2) They cannot be used easily. You need a strategy to bring them out.

    As he was the first YGO protagonist, I must say he's great.
    And as I said, Jubel Jaden FTW.

    I started with the original even though GX had already started by then. :P

    Character: Joey
    He is the coolest dueler and the best dueler. What more do I need to say? :E
