    Suggestion: maybe take out some of the rocks and the grass on the bottom is kinda un-needed unless you put an item down there tempting them.

    Am I crazy for rating maybe 10 maps at once? Of course! I'm only going to say one thing though, and rate it, because I don't want to fully rate like 10 of these... (Estimate :P)

    Sorry to add to the growing number of posts without ratings. I've recently felt like my mapping skills have been declining, every map I make seems really ugly to me.

    Map Name: Gaia City
    Description: Second to last Gym Leader. Home to the CEO of Uriel Enterprises. The paths really annoy me but I don't know what I should do about them. Those two joined buildings will be replaced by the Game Corner.

    Description: Home of the flying gym leader. Its purposely empty because it will be filled with many people and Pokemon. It just looks really really boring to me.

    ... Don't get me started... Whats wrong with grass or beachline? Pokemon Center glitched up, though you couldn't retile, so I'll let that past...

    4/10... I'm sorry, but Why not use a different tileset altogether. Well, all you really need is a connection from land into sea. Look at other maps to get the hang of good maps, especially when the land connects to water, then try again.

    hmm.. The palletes scare me a bit, but lemme concentrate on the map..
    The mountains are too symmetrical.. Try to start making your mountains more "Squiggly".. Kind of like when someones first learning cursive :p
    I personally thing mountains look better like that, overall 7.2/10

  • OK, thanx for the tip. I only wanted to improve my skills, the problem here is my creativity. But I've seen many maps from this thread, some are awful for me, I mean, flowers everywere and that stuff. But some of them are too simple but, weirdly, I consider them really cool: simple but marvelous (especially the ones that have DPP's tiles).

    And I say this again: I already asked Zel for these tiles... also only the trees and some flowers are the same, the pokécenter too (for both pokecenter and pokémart). But not all of them, I don't consider necessary to have every tile. The grass pallettes, dirt green paths and the yellow ones are from a picture that Kyledove (Kymotonian) made.

    Not a bad map, in all! Because it's a city, I won't mark you down for the straight placement of houses. It looks a lot like a normal city...pretty good! I don't really have any more comments, except, seeing as you're going for the realistic city with the straight houses, make the trees more square at the bottom, it's likely people cleared them a bit. I guess that thing in the corner is a park? If so, make the grass either less random or completely nonexistant.

    Hrmmm... I say 5/10
    The Mountain is too... triangular, and symmetrical.
    You can see the border on the left from the stairs, and those 3 random planter boxes that are arranged perfectly diagonal scare me. Like they scream, "RAWR!" in my face, makes me cry.
    Finally, I don't like the shape of the sand from exiting the town. It is a but too square for my tastes.
    Other than that, It is a nice map. :D
