This is most definitely biased, but personally:
Toxicroak>Muk
lol nice 4x psychic weakness.
you can't compare the two. Muk is more for physical tanking than attacking. RestTalk Curse Muk can survive just about anything after 2 curses.

Overall (and remember that word), if Generation A was released at the same time as generation B, would you still like most of the Pokemon in A more than most of the Pokemon in Generation B?

Gen 1: "OMG POKEMON SO COOL@@@@@@@@@@"
Gen 2: "OMG NEW POKEMON COOOOOOOOOOL"
Gen 3: "WTF IS THIS POMEGRANATE THIS ISNT POKEMON"
Gen 4: "Oh, this again"
From my experiences.
Spoiler:Anyone from SouthPerry here? Maybe you'll understand my fruit reference.
^ WTF?! Gen 1 shouldn't be up there because it was the original generation. Graphic limitations prevented many 'intricate' or complicated design.
Gen 4. Plain and simple.
This and the fact that most of the Pokemon introduced in Generation III were legendaries which made it too easy and un-Pokemonish in my opinion.Gen III irked me (e.g. Nosepass, Regis, Ludicolo, Volbeat, Minun, Exploud, Hariyama) although Gen IV is the next contender (e.g. Electivire, Magmortar, Magnezone, Lickilicky, Tangrowth, Wormadam, Phione). I hardly use them nor enjoy seeing them.
What about those we've seen from Gen 5?
Those are not so bad, I think
