Sticking to the current topic, I'd have to say
Sinnoh. While my roleplaying experience in the region is limited, it happens to be my favourite of the main five, so I'd imagine enjoying the experience there just a little bit more than the others.
Anyway, considering this is part of my three-point plan to get back onto Pokecommunity, I've concocted a roleplay idea which might be worth posting here, if only to work out some of the kinks in what I've got so far. Here's a brief description of the roleplay idea, I suppose...;
The roleplay takes place upon a series of islands south east of Hoenn's mainland. These islands have yet to be fully explored, having only been discovered by a ship which hit rocks and drifted off towards them. Many are surprised to find that they even exist, as there is no record of them ever having existed beforehand. Some believe that they are similar to the Mirage Islands, and some argue that it was hidden behind fog created by Rayquaza himself. There is no evidence to support either claim however, and it is likely that they were never found before because there is almost nothing on interest in the immediate area.
What was more intruiging was that the islands are clearly inhabited... or at least, were inhabited. Great towers of stone tear from the surface and miles of catacombs run beneath the ground, linking many of the islands together in a maze of stone. It quickly drew the attention of treasure hunters and adventurers as one might expect, seeking whatever wealth the islands might bring.
However, money was not the only kind of wealth thought to be found within the halls and forests of these lands. Various scientific and historical communities (specifically those focusing on the research of ancient cultures) took note of this amazing discovery, and within a fortnight the area had been designated an area of special interest. Private property. Few were allowed to even step on the island itself, let alone explore the ruins that lay across it. For the next few months, the island was not touched again.
People had been recruited, however. Archeologists, historians specialising in ancient cultures, various types of scientist and of course, Pokemon trainers should a little brute force be required. They were given but one goal. Search the islands from top to bottom and leave no stone unturned. Discover what secrets lie in wait within the constructs of stone and metal. The roleplayer will play one of these people, chosen to help with the expedition in any way they can, and will soon be off on their way to exploring these grand ruins.
But something about these ruins brood the idea of danger. A soft nagging at the back of your mind. It's likely just the wind biting against your skin or the clouds gathering the the north, or just your imagination getting the better of you. It'll make for an interesting story no matter what happens...
I suppose
brief is a subjective term. It gets across the necessary information I suppose. :3 Let me know what ye' think.
