    It would have been good they gave a program where you can store at least half a box of your pokemon in your own system and then transfer it to your game; ofcourse, it would have made the pokebank useless since people are looking the pokebank only to transfer pokemon from previous generations. but what it's done it's done and we will have to wait until they fix everything, we have waited all this time, waiting a little more won't do any damage, unless they decide to cancel pokemon bank.

    So, at the risk of sounding like a conspiracy theorist, I'm skeptical of this whole "Our servers got overloaded" thing. There is no way they didn't anticipate this much traffic releasing Pokebank around Christmas. I suspect the real story is, a bunch of people managed to get around the Poke Transporter's hack filter, but admitting that would turn a lot of people off to online play (no one wants to play online with a bunch of hacks).

    Neither the GTS nor the Pokebank were the problem, the problem was the servers used to verify usernames, account information and payment information. It was swamped by al the people getting new game systems and also linking various accounts to their one account while also entering payment info all on Christmas. That is basically the gatekeeper to the Pokebank. Once you were able to get past THAT, the poke bank servers were perfectly fine (as is evidenced by being able to get unobtainable pokemon in North America as early as Christmas Eve), it was the setting up of accounts that couldn't be done, and you needed an account in order to access poke bank.

    Normally, I'd agree with you. I don't believe they plan to make any changes whatsoever to their filter in the near future. They never disabled PokéMover (as its called in Japan) - they only made it undownloadable. It's available in the eShop again, however, with no changes. It's clear their intentions were to mitigate traffic.

    Ill get the pokebank so i can move All my pokemon to the same system. Then i can restart some of the old ones so i can catch those legendearies again... XD

    But its anoying that I wont get the free test time nor the opening event pokemon due to their inabillity to adapt to a obeous situation(speculation, i doubt they will give us a new one). Its not the first time the release of a popular product is flooding server.

    They're going to extend the free trial period and the Celebi giveaway, so no worries.

    Intellectually do you feel that people who can not afford the huge time sink that is this game when played "officially" should be barred from ever enjoying it ('it' being the enjoyment of competitive battling)?

    It doesn't matter. If they don't have time, they should not play a game that takes time they don't have. Hacking is not an option if you want to play online with other people. If you don't like how the game works, don't go online with your own made up rules where you only need to hack to get a Pokemon into an online environment that is made for the official way of playing the game. Why don't you guys let us have our hackfree official online environment?

    Exactly. Cheating is cheating. No matter how you spin it, it's still cheating.

    I did have White 2 but lost the cartridge. I only want Pokemon Bank so I can transfer all my Pokemon through to Bank and start a new game. Feel like I rushed the game first time round, but now the second time round I can take my time and enjoy it more for the story than just completing the game.
