I was actually not going to join this RP because of the point allocation thing but looking at the IC thread, it's actually nice, the way it will be handled. Can I still have the reservation for the black dude?

History
Dennis Plum was born into a traditional family living in Ohio. He had two siblings, both younger brothers, and both more accomplished than he was. When he was born, his father had huge expectations of him, being the first-born. He was given complete independence over his choices, his father truly believing that his son will make the choices he wanted Dennis to make. He was wrong on so many aspects.
First of all, Dennis grew sickly. He developed asthma at a young age so he did not develop well in the physical aspect. Short exertions of effort will literally take the breath out of his lungs and will always make him scramble for his inhaler. He never played basketball nor football, the two sports his father was passionate about. Instead, he trained in the sports most people with lung problems seemed to turn to: swimming. He loved the feel of water surrounding his body and the seemingly effortless nature of swimming. As he said, 'It is ironic that to help an asthmatic man, you need to teach him to hold his breath underwater while swiftly moving about.' He always found the irony hilarious.
Second, he became an atheist. His family was Christian, all the way back in the olden times. Dennis Plum, however, was too smart for his own good. Even at a young age, he started questioning the concept of religion and God. He questioned how is it possible for a rain to flood the world when rain is only evaporated ocean and via the law of conservation of mass, it isn't possible. He questioned why God should test a man by ordering him to kill his son. 'He is omniscient, why can he not just know it?' And how can one death of a man save the world of its sins? Pretty deep question that went unanswered. This lack of answers stuck with him throughout his life.
Third, he became a writer. His father wanted him to become an engineer, just like him. However, his strength did not really lie in the numbers. It was in the words. He was an astounding writer, a poet, and a novelist. He had published the first of his books at an age of twenty-four, entitled "No Man's Land", and had released three more novels afterwards. His father was not happy with it. However, as Dennis puts it, 'I'm putting almost a thousand dollars in his bank every month. He better be contented.'
Dennis was not the man his father wanted him to be. He was far from it. However, it was his choices that made Dennis who he really is.
