As much as I want to proceed, I don't think I can pull it off with a tie happening as of now. Either someone has to make a tie breaker, or I'll just decide where it goes through a flip of coin.

Chapter 2: Which One?

Location: Your Apartment, Nix City

Of course! If you're to go on an adventure, you'll meet a lot of Pokémon on the way. You might not know everything, but starting from identifying what kind of Pokémon you can find on the road ahead has always been a smart choice for both newbie and experienced Trainers alike. You switch the channel in advance as a man in camouflaged attire greets you, "Howdy there, Trainers! Welcome back to another episode of...uh..." He paused a bit before continuing, "A-anyway! What's your first thought the time you see snow? Many people think they're just white and cold. But for us Pokémon Trainers, this simply means Pokémon! ...tsk."

He spins himself awkwardly as the screen slides to the right, showing you live videos of various Pokémon in three different locations nearby. You can see a pale blue, nine-tailed fox howling at the sun from a high altitude on a snow-covered clearing of a mountain known as Mt. Rokk, and a Seismitoad chasing after a terrified fisherman, with the Pokémon whipping out the fishing rod like a bullwhip inside a series of swampy puddle of water known as the Gonji Lakes. The third one shows a forest filled with even more variety, but the scene is cut short when suddenly the screen goes on to show an opening graphic of a breaking news program.

"Attention, citizens of Raoga. Earlier, a mysterious beam of light conjured forth onto the skies above, from the remnants of the former capital city Volmia and also enveloping it. History has recorded of its grievous past, though it appears that the divided lands were raised by an unknown force, lifting the entire city above as if it was a floating island. The vicinity were unaffected by this strange phenomenon, though the carriage leaves a big crater on the ground. That is all, we will return to our scheduled broadcast shortly."

You're not sure what to make of from what was said just now, but either way, you've waited long enough to see the sun through the window. You turn off the TV, have a quick warm bath, get dressed, and make yourself a breakfast. You reach for the door to leave your room, then you enter inside the elevator, gently moving downwards as you wait. When the glass door opens, you hurry to the next block and enter the lab where the professor greets you with a smile.

"Hmm, you're quick." He smiled, "I think that's just natural. Here, I have placed three Poké Balls containing three different Pokémon that will aid you in your journey. What lies inside is a mystery till you open it."

"Now then, which one will you choose?"
  1. "The one in the left."
  2. "The one in the middle."
  3. "The one in the right."
  4. "This is so disappointingly basic! Give me something else instead!"

I'm going with #4, for sure! If we can't get lucky at the lottery, then maybe we could at least get lucky by obtaining some kind of bizarre starter Pokémon! :D

If that actually happens, then it will be more than just bizarre--it will be revolutionary.
Eh, we don't know who we're going to start with...?
Are asking the professor, throwing a dice or flipping a coin viable options...?
Also... "Deaths: 0"? Do we actually get to perish?
Like said, it's unknown till we find that out. It may or may not be the usual Grass/Fire/Water trio, but a try on one of these choices won't hurt.

And usually, not if they aren't included in the options. And yes, if the worst does come and happen literally.

Tfw a tie happened again. It appears that some really wanted to take the Poké Ball on the right and also some who wants to see what happens if they choose the fourth option.

So... since there's no one to break the tie, I decided to flip a coin where landing in heads means we'll go with 3, whereas landing in tails means we'll go with 4. The result was tails, so we're going to go with 4.

Chapter 3: Congratulations...?

Location: "Whose Lab is this again?" Nix City

"This is so disappointingly basic! Give me something else instead!" You say out loud right when you are given the chance to choose one of the three Pokémon just in front of you. The aides take notice upon your sudden outburst, you can't really tell if the professor is disappointed as he stares at you with a deadpan. You're not sure if this is the best course of action, so you think about apologizing when the professor begins to speak.

"The Pokémon I offer to you, you refuse because you demand something else. Tell me, what is this 'thing' you speak of that you want?"

You tell the professor that you want to see everything, and take anything you deem useful in the lab before making your choice. This includes choosing one of the incredibly powerful Pokémon living inside the preservation garden he's so proud of, and obtaining one of these advanced biological weapons the aides talk about so casually. A unnerved look is plastered on his face, followed with a visible trickle of sweat he makes as he unwillingly speaks, "S-speak of it no more. Just take this and be on your way."

He tosses you a Poké Ball, shrouded in an ominous purple aura, then he pushes you out from the lab before slamming the door shut. At the very least you get a Pokémon even if you start to regret your choice, so you throw the Poké Ball upward to see what Pokémon is stored inside. It pops open, revealing a blue, large and round figure known as Wailmer, except it looks a bit different from what you saw the other day. It retains the same purplish aura, and it gets some glowing red eyes that wavers like fire.

You find yourself staring directly at what someone might deem 'still the same, but clearly something else'. What will you do?
  1. Give it a hug, then go on a brand new journey together.
  2. Withdraw the Wailmer to avoid unwanted attention.
  3. Run for your life.
  4. Prove your might by trying to fend it off.

1. A purplish Wailmer. Is it Shiny? Either way Give it a hug.

Random note: Wasn't Wailmer a starter option in 'The Everlasting Pokemon Journey?'
