Be selective..er? I've actually done quite a good job of reigning myself in this year...two games only in the January sales, although I am DYING for a third. But I probably won't get it, aha.
Patience is a virtue! One I don't have either most of the time though, admittedly. Patience doesn't get things done. xD

Maybe we both need to be more selective...even though we're already too selective as it is. xD;
Waiting is painful sometimes, but stuff drops in price quite quick. Well, depending on what it is. JRPGs tend to go one of two ways: they either drop rapidly, or the price goes up because of limited stock...

It's a skill you acquire through necessity if you're single or don't have a partner who knows how to do it...there is always too much to buy and not enough to buy it with. Unless you win the lottery, want for little or are phenomenally successful in your chosen line of work. xD

That sucksss. =( My family is pretty okay but my dad can joke a lot and that seriously gets annoying but we don't ever really get violent. Hope we can both move out soon!

Well, I am getting a fair bit of money, but half of it has to go to the house for my keep, and I need money for travel costs, living essentials, etc...so yes. Budgeting is a must. Fortunately I have a degree in Accounting, so I know how to budget. xD

The greater punishment is not having the money to buy what you really want afterwards! I'm going to be very careful with my money next year, since I have a list of over 15 games I absolutely must have already...plus I have money set aside for the New 3DS XL. xD

Aha, I see. I rarely sell my games these days, since trade-in prices are awful...although I did put quite a lot up on eBay this year so I could afford a PS4. You typically get a better price there. I try not to experience buyer's remorse by buying only what I definitely want, though. xD

Oh ugh. One of my best friends had a pretty aggressive dad but I think he's gotten a lot better lately since he went to anger management classes and finally has a better job. I hope it works out for you </3
