That sucks about the finger but at least it is on the mend.

And I'm still at uni! My time off only starts at the end of this week and lasts a week. Already looks like I've got a bunch of assignments/reports to work on (better then rather than dying a week down the track under everything I suppose), but that's not going to stop me from doing more stuff on the bbs/wynaut and here as well if need be. =)

Writing along Digimon-wise, and now I can't decide where I want to end the chapter. On one hand, it's pretty short as-is, but on the other I'm feeling kind of like another cliff-hanger, but back on the first I don't know if two big cliff-hangers in a row is a good idea.

Call it: Heads or tails? If you're right it's a cliffhanger. Scratch that, I made up my mind.

I don't know a thing about OSC graphic novel adaptations, but Harrison Ford! :D It also has that kid from Hugo as Ender, which sounds like a very good casting to me.

I see a possible lose-lose situation fandom-wise: either it's really good and you get a bunch of nouveaux-Ender fans who get confused on which elements were in the books or movie(s) (there was only one elf at Helm's Deep, you wannabe LOTR fans), or it's really not good and you have to tell everyone "Read the book! It's not bad like the movie!"

I'd be okay with judging, if you think I qualify. I'd like to give some of the old standby judges a chance to participate for a change.

Xros Wars, eh? My opinion of it went sharply downhill after the first few episodes, but perhaps that's just me. (First Digimon series I couldn't bring myself to finish, actually.)

Life, as ever, is busy with studies but generally pleasant. Been thinking about this Ender's Game movie (which they're actually filming this time!) as of late, and whether it will be a worthy adaptation. Card seems excited about the project, so I'm cautiously optimistic.

Speaking of Get-Together, do we have judges lined up for the Small Writing Contest?

Can't say I do, but if I pull out my handy fandom size:OC ratio:expected cliche ratio formula, I'd say it's about 1.08x10^2 +/- 5.00.

Speaking of Digimon, I'm writing my chapter 5 in a computer lab right now. Really wish I had gotten around to it earlier, but there was a bunch of computer trouble I had throughout July, and also it's good that I spent some time sketching out the specifics of crazy things that are to go down in later chapters. Hope to have this one posted before the Get-Together.

So how are things around here?

I do enjoy writing but I never thought I'd be good enough at it to write something that people will actually read. x3 If you have any tips to make the writing more interesting I'd be grateful to hear them?

That does sounds cardtastic. I never had many myself (only a handful of Pokemon cards), although a friend of mine has nearly all the Pokemon cards ever, haha.

Pokemon cards, Digimon cards, Orson Card...sounds about right.

I am busy but otherwise fine. Just having a bit of trouble juggling all the personal projects I want to do besides modding and uni and other life stuff! And he is getting better. Had a bit of surgery to cut of a bit of bone that was sticking out too much and he needs rebandaging every few days though, but he is doing better than expected apparently and getting by alright on three good legs.

Do you remember Burnt Flower's story from 2008, Maggots of Society? I would like to read more like that, but I can't seem to find any. Is there any? If not, what Pokémon FanFiction would you recommend that's posted here? One that's written really well and has a nice setting with descriptions and a good chunk of dialogue!

I have just written a bonus in The Hoenn Dragons of a few memories, fragments of stoys 1 and 3. I hope it deals with some of your problems. I know Rocket has not been answered yet though... Is bobandbil still a fan fic moderator? He doesn't seem VERY active and when I check the mod list, only you are on there...
