You know what big difference I've noticed between the BMGf staff and the PokéCommunity staff? Well, the difference is that the PC staff tend to always get their hands dirty with the places they handle, interacting with mods and regs alike; almost all BMGf staff are out of the loop when it comes to their sections, and their administrators hardly ever initiate conversation. For example, the Shipper's Paradise (why doesn't PC have one?) moderators, Luna Tardor and Insanish Danish, do not take part in any shipping thread discussions except to point out statistical errors and tips, and only usually create stickied rule threads and the like; mostly their "pointers" are to give factual representation of a ship other than the one they're posting in, ticking off many shippers including myself. There are a few exceptions however, such as Taiki who (I think) moderates the War Room, and the big exception, Kakuna Matata; he's almost always talking to someone over VMs and is on over 8 hours a day it seems, chatting up threads and interacting with his forums' members, not to mention the occasional moderation queue, of course. I've also noticed that the rules list on BMGf seems more laid back than the ones on PC, but I think what counts is the staffs' attitude towards users. I got a zero-warning 4-point infraction for forgetting to put credit for fanart a different way I did (i.e. I didn't forget credit, it was just embedded very neatly into the image). Bear in mind, I was completely unaware of this unwritten rule, and I'm positive that the only reason Luna Tardor reversed the infraction was because the Rule Director happened to be in the Viewing Members list on the thread the post was in, and put together that Figment would figure out the excessiveness of the infraction. Thus, she decided to retract her "throwing" at me before Figment would see her leaving it there (with page refreshes and all, the director might've not noticed it was removed ;|) Basically, they have a real problem with me and are constantly riding my ass all the time, the only reason I could conclude for this is that they don't like how I don't unquestionably obey their every whim. I take it up with the higher athorities for confirmation; apparently most users don't, and just obey them half-eyed. -_-"
That's a lot to type, but not too much of a spoken mouthful, I hope ^^; I hope you understand what I mean by this, and take it into consideration while you're at Bulbagarden. Thanks. :)
