Well, I guess we're both a part of the Pokemon fandom - after all, we're a part of a Pokemon forum - but I think most of the toxicity in this fandom is centered around Serebii, aha. I used to be part of the Precure fandom, but...ugh, I hate it.
Yeah, the series didn't get off to the best start; it wasn't until Victory that the series kinda evened out to have gameplay as good as its humour...or, at least, playable gameplay.
Yes, it is...case in point, I needed to check mine after an impromptu dental fee and private prescription yesterday. No Batman TPs for me until Friday as a result, but at least I'm not overdrawn. xD
It definitely helps; I've screwed up so many songs when I've not been in the mood...but then, you can say that of every kind of game, right? JRPGs in particular, you really need to be in the right frame of mood to grind, otherwise a minute feels like an hour. State of mind and motivation are important in all things!
It is pretty cool that the series has been going this long despite being out of mainstream attention for years and being the center of numerous controversies. Which age was that? I've had that twice - once with Gen III, and again with Gen V. Really, Gen VI would be a third time, but Gen V was so awful that it's actually an improvement!
Well, Nintendo aren't dedicated to "pure" localisation the same way that developers like NISA are. They've always been apart from the rest of the industry and aware of a global audience, whilst NISA release titles in English that were meant for Japanese audiences. Plus, the elitists who insist on original audio - and I really hate those kinds of people - are getting louder and louder. People who expect Nintendo to act like any other developer or publisher really need to get a clue, haha. They've always had their own way of operating and, whilst it isn't ideal, their localisations aren't usually completely butchered or adapted to the point they're unrecognisable. They're...culturally neutral. Like Square Enix.
Crazy people lurk online. Beware. xD
He was; Marth was too weak and Link was too slow, Roy was a good balance between the two in terms of speed and power...plus he just looked and sounded cooler, aha. Ugh, Zoroark would have been even worse than Lucario. I really hate these anthropomorphic fox Pokemon, they're blatant furry bait. Gen IV and V's Gardevoir, only worse.
It did indeed! I'm getting very strong Splash Star vibes from it right now, and considering Splash Star is my second favourite season, I have high hopes for it going forward and I'm probably going to keep up with it week-by-week, which I haven't done since Dokidoki. It didn't make quite as strong a first impression as past seasons have, but then, Dokidoki made a very good first impression and that was an awful series. Guess we'll see. I hope it sticks with the dual Cure mechanic for the first half, rather than unloading every Cure within the first ten episodes...
